EAA Witness - polygonal rifling, jacketed & plated loads only
Elite (Philippine) 1911 - conventional rifling, all loads

17 June 2007 - 200gr Xtreme SWC copper-plated lead, 5.7gr W231, WLP primer, taper crimp
Witness: In limited testing, some feeding problems with one brand of magazine, but not with another. Adequate accuracy, milder recoil than factory 230gr FMJ. Cycles fully, but brass ejects in random directions.

20 January 2008 - 230gr Xtreme RN copper-plated lead, 5.3gr W231, WLP primer, taper crimp
Witness: Good function, significant recoil but easily controllable especially with Witness' ported barrel. 10-shot average 711fps.

20 January 2008 - 200gr Hornady XTP #45140 JHP, 5.3gr W231, WLP primer, taper crimp
Witness: As above. 10-shot average 751fps.

18 June 2007 - 230gr Speer #4477 JHP, 5.3gr W231, WLP primer, taper crimp
Witness: As above. 10-shot average 795fps.

20 January 2008 - 226gr cast LRN (Lee #90384, sized to .452", Lee Liquid Alox tumble lube), 5.3gr W231, WLP primer, taper crimp
1911: 4-shot average 772fps. Good function, no evidence of lead buildup.

3 February 2008 - 215gr cast LSWC (maker unknown, found at gun show, conventionally lubricated), 5.3gr W231, WLP primer, taper crimp
1911: 4-shot average 802fps. One misfeed in four rounds - not unexpected with this bullet shape.

25 May 2008 - 200gr Xtreme RN copper-plated lead, 5.5gr W231, WLP primer, taper crimp
Witness: 10-shot average 803.1fps.

17 May 2009 - 219gr cast LRN (Lee #90384, sized to .452", Lee Liquid Alox tumble lube), 5.3gr W231, WLP primer, taper crimp
1911: Moderate recoil and smoke, good function, promising accuracy. Eight-shot average 788fps.

1911: Perfect function in an IPSC shoot, without previous testing. Awaiting chronograph and bench accuracy testing.
