Yesterday it was Twitter trying to kill people and today blogbrother SMLE Fan sends Babylon Bee continuing to become a hard news site.

Michael G. sends "Proof that China has ended ChiGov virus: They are amassing medical supplies discreetly in Australia (that we know of) and sending them back to China. If the country that normally produces those supplies is going to other countries to get them, that can only mean that they have cured the disease, ended the pandemic, and solved all their problems. On opposites day or in bizarro world." Meanwhile here in the First World, blind gibbering panic if one person out of a million has a sniffle.

  • No sympathy for a hate-filled hypocritical bigot caught up in the same Red Flag "laws" he wants to force on all of us.
  • Michael G. sends "Only bureaucrats are allowed to save you! And they'll get around to it when they feel like it. Reminds me of the people who say we should solely rely on police for our personal protection. Plus a couple of side dishes of trial lawyers trying to make the medical system work better... for them." "If Federal Regulators Would Get Out of the Way." Which I have also pondered.
  • Aaand hypocrisy.
  • And there are still bad people doing bad things to other people. "The stories of the victims of those bad things are disfavored as they don’t push the reform agenda...." To which dot connect
  • "Virginia protecting their constituents. And with Dems in charge, guess who their constituents are?" Maybe the same as in Portland?
  • But "Remember, the real threat is white gun-owning Republicans."
  • You know, if this Chinese Flu really did come from a Chinese government bioweapon lab, it's not very effective. More cheap commie junk.
  • Among so much.
  • No one is safe around any cop of any kind.
  • "A right delayed is a right denied."

To which dot connect, as tax time approaches, remember, peasant, you're not paying "your" "fair" "share".

Michael G. sends "UVA Law wants to kick out woman who was called up to her National Guard unit. There is a petition on her behalf linked, but it looks like it is for UVA alumni, staff or people with some kind of connection to the school." (Followed by a sudden burst of sanity. "For veterans choosing a school, please know that you are welcome here"? Nnno, I don't think they are, and they wouldn't be saying so if people hadn't raised a stink. Somebody there thought it was a good idea to kick out that student - and that somebody is still there.)

Speaking of reasons to not go to college, "How dare you make me lay in the bed I made! Judge says you can't make a therapist a Title IX snitch for the prosecution and then deny the same information to the defense on the grounds of 'patient confidentiality'. Feminist advocates outraged."

Followed by, "There is no humor in Islam the revolution! Because the Devil hates to be mocked: 'Disturbing number of students say "offensive jokes" could be hate speech.'"

Social media encourages children to make child porn. I wonder where they got that idea.

    "Religion of Peace"

To which Foreign Correspondent Jacob N., Trapped in New York, adds "Biting the hand, with a nice dose of insane misinformation. If they can fob this wild lie off, what else is wrong in the article: 'The vast majority of New Yorkers are not Christian, and if they find themselves wheezing for air due to COVID-19, they don’t want to be proselytized while receiving treatment. They too have reason to be skeptical of the organization’s makeshift hospital.' Best I can find is that about 60% of NYC residents identify as some kind of Christian (the largest denomination are Catholics). That would constitute a majority of the city’s residents as Christian, giving the lie to the above statement in a spectacular way."

  • Followed by a "Raw, naked power grab. Once you’re out in public, what does it matter what you buy? This isn’t a health measure, this is a control freak 'we will tell you everything you can do' measure. And this is, to me, the most terrifying thing about the WuFlu epidemic: the endless restrictions on civil liberties in the name of 'public health emergency', that people accept without question. When this crisis is over, the governments of the world will have learned exactly how easy it is to 'slow-cook the frog' and the level of BS that people will swallow in the name of 'public safety'. There will be vaccines and treatments for this disease in short order, and COVID-19 will fade into the background like all the other epidemics of history, but the damage to freedom won’t heal so fast."
  • To which Michael G. adds "Fauxnly Ones in Colorado harass people for being outside. Big tyrants start as little tyrants."
  • There are things I fear far more than the Chinese Flu.
  • Such as, "UN wants world tax for ChiGov virus. A double middle finger salute for that idea."
  • What "law" would you not enforce?
  • What order would you not obey?

Blogbrother SMLE Fan sends the terrible cost of the Chinese Flu.

And then this happens. Which I have also pondered.

The next story approaches. Could be months, could be days, before I post the first part. Which will be a prologue occurring near the end of Aurora. The hangup, see, is the setting. Like Aurora it will be a story about, and set in and around, a ship... and I had little idea what that ship looked like until I scribbled out a napkin-sketch at lunch yesterday. The words, and the pixels, will come. I know now that they will... as they did before.

    6133 Friday, 3 April 2020:

Yesterday it was the University of Virginia Law School showing contempt for the military and now Michael G. sends "Pelosi tries to steal votes of military. Would require service members to essentially dox themselves to request a ballot, and in return that ballot would be blank so that anybody could fill it out." And let's not forget all those military absentee ballots delayed or "lost" in previous elections.

Followed by, "Japan's Deputy Prime Minister: WHO should change name to CHO - China Health Organization, since that's whose orders they seem to follow."

  • Michael G. sends "Fed. Judge: Only left media bias allowed. Upholds Minnesota government excluding a conservative media organization by redefining them as not media."
  • I really wouldn't mind if the Chinese Flu wiped out Congress.

The Other Side has not thought this through.

This ship design... is going to be considerably more detailed than Aurora, despite, or perhaps because of, its much smaller size. Going back into the previous encounters with this class of ship I find I left myself some clues, and today I came up with another napkin-sketch with internal arrangements. It could take some time to get this design right, and I want that done before I start posting any of the story, not least because it will be necessary for the story. Hopefully I'll make some progress on that this weekend.

If the neighbors don't bust right through the thin slum wall and frame me for a "hate crime".

Michael G. sends even more media bias. "Of course it's against Fox news for not being in lockstep with the rest of the MSM."

Followed by, "Twitter gives college access to parody account mocking the college. When confronted, Twitter says it was a mistake. Said that they should have suspended the account for 'impersonating' the college, instead. Then proceed to do that. Add another reason to the long list of why I never have and never will get a Twitter account."

    Immigrants Contributing to Society

MidWestReader observes: "Some gun stores and ranges locally have closed due to concerns about the Chinese virus. It's understandable, as many of the employees are older and some have chronic health conditions that would put them in great danger, and the crowds of panicked sheeple who waited until we were all living in Stephen King's The Stand to buy a gun and ammo can get unruly. A public bus driver in Detroit who made a video on social media in which he complained about his passengers coughing and sneezing without covering their mouths on his bus less than two weeks ago died of the virus today, less than a week after they think he was exposed, and he was younger than I am.
"Last time I was at a gun store before closure they had a literal line out the door and down the street to get in, and inside it was pandemonium, like a ghetto Wal-Mart on Christmas Eve with people fighting over the last pair of basketball shoes. I cannot blame the owner for choosing to shut down temporarily. At those places still open, like Cabela's in [city], every long gun designed after around 1898 is gone, gone, gone. They still have revolvers, metal-framed DA/SA service pistols, and polymer-framed striker-fired service pistols on the shelves and I suppose it's possible they managed to obtain substantial shipments beforehand, because they're flying off the shelves, usually ending up in the hands of people who by all appearances have never seen a gun before except on TV and handle them in a manner suggesting they're not sure which end the hot stuff comes out. No ammo is available other than obscure oddball hunting rifle calibers--lots of 7x64mm Sharpe & Hart has been on the shelves since the first Obama panic eleven years ago--and 12 gauge and 20 gauge light trap loads. There is no handgun ammo to be had, nor .22 LR. Oddly Wal-Marts locally still have .22 LR on the shelves, plus lots of bulk shotgun trap ammo and the usual assortment of hunting rifle calibers like .25/06 and .270 Winchester, of which I'm guessing they sell a single box every two or three years."

There's a big Cabela's store I drive right past twice a day on my usual route. Their parking lot is empty and there are signs in the window saying they're open for curbside pickup. A couple days ago I found myself in a variety store, just to use their restroom, but they sell arms and ammunition. Their shelves were mangy at best, though I was surprised to find a quantity of Federal Champion #510 .22LR unplated solid, of which I bought a brick because I know that stuff shoots expert at Appleseed in a 1982 factory-original 10/22 barrel. As for the fuddfodder, I'm reminded of an incident years ago in another arms shop, long since closed, where a pair of Very Sterotypical Fudds came in looking for some "thirty-thirty shells" and picked up a box of Hornady reloading dies for .30-30 Ackley Improved. All of which Codrea also observes.

MidWestReader follows with: "Lastly, thinking again of the ongoing pandemic. There have been rumors since the very beginning that the Chinese coronavirus is an artificial creation, that it was analyzed and found to have been stitched together neatly from bits and pieces of HIV, SARS, and the Middle Eastern mutant influenza that started local epidemics in Saudi Arabia and Iraq in 2012-13. Given that the whole world knows the Chinese operate an illegal biological warfare lab in Wuhan, what are the odds that the sudden appearance of a novel mutant virus never previously seen on Earth would be in the exact same place? I cannot prove it but to my way of thinking all available evidence points to the Chinese having had a little 'oopsie' with stolen Western science and technology that they don't fully understand. The Chinese have a long history of unwarranted pride in things they didn't actually create and don't understand nearly as well as they think they do. I believe the Greeks had a word for this kind of thing: hubris.
"This time, it looks like the virus was something from research, some experiment that got loose, rather than a finished product they would have used against Hong Kong or Taiwan or the Uyghurs, maybe something from a test batch created to see whether it could propagate in living tissue. This time.
"One presumes that the lab workers were washing out petri dishes in the parking lot into the municipal sewers and reusing them instead of opening a new crate, because that would have cost a nickel. One presumes that the lab workers were stealing infected research animals and selling them to the Wuhan 'wet markets' as bushmeat. That's just how they roll in the PRC.
"And this time, this time, it wasn't Captain Trips that got loose. Will we be so lucky next time? Because it will happen again. The PRC is a militaristic totalitarian state with publicly stated ambitions of replacing us as the global hegemon, and they are grasping blindly in the dark for any weapon they can hold to the world's throat. IT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN."
    Which segues to,

"...[C]rashing the economy is not a treatment for a virus." And among so much other proof that people are stupid,

  • "Sending 32 cops to raid a 1 year old's birthday party. Stupid. And proves yet again that cops are mindless thugs with no respect for the Constitution." As are the people who call them and the people who send them. Like I've been saying, and anyone who's been paying attention has known, for years.

  • "[Governor Cuomo] would rather have citizens of New York die" than accept help from the firearms industry.

Michael G. sends TrumpKeepsHappening: "Trump opposes mail-in voting: Violates Washington standards again by bluntly stating an obvious truth, 'No because I think a lot of people cheat with mail in voting.'"

MidWestReader sends tips: "I'd heard of people soldering wire handles onto cartridge cases and making them into powder scoops. Apparently they can be very consistent, especially if you use a business card to strike the excess off the top.
"A .25 ACP case = 0.318 cc and throws almost exactly 3.0gr Bullseye, or 3.4gr of W231. A .32 ACP = .601 cc and that's about 5.7gr Bullseye, or 5.5gr Unique. .380 = .747 cc, for 6.8gr Unique, an old favorite powder charge for .45 ACP full-power hardball. 9mm = .835 cc, holding 6.1gr Red Dot (a recommended powder charge for light 'cowboy' loads in .44 Special or Magnum brass with 200gr cast lead) and so on. Obviously these volumes could be adjusted a bit by adding a bit of epoxy inside the case, or filing the case mouth down, to reduce its internal volume. I suppose some careful polishing of the interior with sandpaper could increase volumes very slightly, but only to a point. Above 9mm we start getting into powder charges more suited to shotgun loading. A .44 Mag case looks like it should hold 23.5gr Unique, for example. As brass cartridge cases can vary significantly in wall thickness and volume, I suppose it'd probably be a very good idea to double-check with a scale before doing anything.
"This also makes me think of a gun-store legend I've heard in which a fellow claimed to be having difficulty with some target wadcutters he'd reloaded, which were displaying excessive recoil and muzzle blast and flash in his GP100, and the primers 'looked funny,' i.e, were cratered and sometimes punctured. It developed that he had misunderstood the instructions in the loading manuals and was scooping a .38 Special case full of powder, then, with some difficulty, seating a double ended wadcutter atop it and crunching it down atop the very compressed powder charge, and crimping it. A .38 Special case scooped full of Unique is 13.7gr. When I put the numbers into QuickLoad assuming a 148gr double ended wadcutter seated flush on top, it halted and said there was not room for this powder charge in the case. When I reduced it bit by bit until it would accept the data, it still reported over 100,000 PSI, which should have destroyed the gun, even a GP100. Even the Redhawks in .454 Casull are only proof tested up to 90K, and they get cylinders of a special steel alloy with a special heat treatment. It's an amusing story, anyway."
Has anyone ever blown up a GP100?

So of course there are immediately billboards and radio commercials. This sort of thing never ends until their vices become "fundamental human rights" that the rest of us are taxed to pay for, up until there are "dispensaries" handing out "free" clean needles on every other streetcorner and complaints about the quality of the "free" methadone, smack, and meth. The number of belligerent junkies snatching purses and robbing homes never decreases, especially when the legislature gives such people get-out-of-jail-free cards and free money. Reportedly Larry Correia sits down during set hours of the day and works on it like a job, while John Ringo pours it out as a burst and then can't even look at a keyboard for months. I'm somewhere between, formerly, and still leaning, more toward the Ringo end of the spectrum, but now that I've built the universe I find it easier to make new things happen in it. Meanwhile though I still work for a living and I'm kind of keeping my head down about that, as several coworkers have "left the company" and I'm getting significant warning signals of job insecurity as part of the general plague-panic-shutdown nonsense.

I should be getting paid for this, $igh. I could be "Big in Japan". Get the same writer and director who did this.

This one facepalmed me so hard I don't even know what to type. Well of course I do, I'm a writer, and the Other Side provides the material: It's only "racist" if a Republican does it and black Republicans aren't really black.

Media lies about everything all the time,
China spies on everything all the time.

  • Court action in Occupied California, Occupied Virginia, and Occupied New Jersey.
  • Michael G. sends, "There are worse things than a pandemic: 'At a certain point, a free people — nearly 17 million of whom have now filed unemployment claims in an economy that was booming just a month ago — comes to realize that the de Blasios are pleaders, not rulers. Common sense emerges in the clarity of lives torn asunder by willful acts of elected officials and faceless bureaucrats. Our DNA reminds us that governments derive their just powers only from the consent of the governed.' In other words, do you want boogaloo? Because this is how you get boogaloo!"

  • Followed by: "NY Court: Free speech protects lies. If you spread a crime hoax to the media, or social media, that is protected speech. If you report a crime hoax to the authorities, that is still illegal. I hate to say this, but I think the court got it right. Can you imagine how the authorities would abuse a power to suppress speech and punish the speaker because they said that it was lying about a crime? Still, we know that from this point on in NY hate hoaxes will never be reported to the authorities directly. They will be spread by social media until someone unconnected to creating it reports it to the authorities."
  • Then another Democrat governor getting his jackboots on. I do hope the victims of this fascism remember it on election day. And I hope more people realize that police are the enemy. (Later Michael sends one tiny spark of sanity.)

Remember police are sociopaths who do not see other people as human beings - and remember there is no order they will not obey. (Though there is perspective.)

Remember the Supreme Court says it's legal for citizens to shoot cops in defense of self or others.

Michael G. sends "Oh Noes! Racism in Atlanta! And by 'racism' they mean 'not denying reality as demanded by the politically correct'?" It's not "racist" if the Chinese Flu really did come from China and the dictator of communist China really does look like Winnie the Pooh.

Hey, pigs. We have you outnumbered, you are not the good guys, and we're better shots. Maybe you should rethink your career choice.

For years I've been pointing out how genocide is not hyperbole and Michael G. sends yet another example: "They hate us, and want us to die. Followed of course by the 'I was only kidding' defense."

    And then this happens.

    And then this happens.

Not unrelated, blogbrother SMLE Fan sends two Americas. No peace.

    Entertainment rot

No longer regretting never having served in the military, Chapter MMMMMMCLIV.

On radio "news" this morning I heard ABC claiming fifty thousand Americans had died from the Chinese Flu which-of-course-they-won't-name-as-such. We know that's a lie, among so many others. But the EBT-swipers swallow every one and call the pigs on the rest of us.

  • Michael G. sends "MI legislature meeting to revoke governor's emergency powers" but not Lighter because "She is expected to veto, and they don't have the votes to override a veto." Their system. Followed by, "I'm not going to sign any bill that takes authority away from me...."
  • To which dot connect, "Cuomo: ‘Not our job’ to provide PPE to nursing homes he forced to accept COVID patients." '“They don’t have a right to object. That is the rule and that is the regulation and they have to comply with that,” Cuomo said....'
  • And then, "6th Circuit pulls new Constitutional Right out of their fundaments." Which I have already pondered and will be revisiting when the Muse gets around to telling me about it.

Michael G. sends "The new Caliphate province of Minnesotastan."

Followed by, "More evidence fish tank cleaner death was murder." Lying about everything all the time.

With moving goalposts which segues to

Chinese Flu has been handled wrong from the beginning.

As though someone wanted to crash the global economy on purpose.

Blogbrother SMLE Fan sends visual aids:

    Go ahead. Call me "racist".

  • Michael G. sends, "Gov. Whitmer extends some decrees, backs off on others. Looks to me like she based it on poll testing, she extended the restrictions that still had majority support and backed off on the ones with majority opposition. Which shows how little 'science' went into any of them." Wrong from the beginning.
  • Followed by, "5th Circuit: No prosecutor immunity for using fake subpoenas." ...Which is not Lighter after all because they still think they can get away with it.
  • Think about the kind of people who want to tell you how to live your life.
  • Never trust a cop of any kind.
  • "Look veeerrrrry closely at whats happening here: Gov't issues illegal lockdown directive. Peasants apply for permit to 'lawfully' protest. Gov't removes means to 'lawfully' protest." The Founders would be shooting by now.

Michael G. sends "How New Yorkers respond to a crisis. So these are the people we should look up to and emulate?"

Followed appropriately by our intellectual betters. Wouldn't trust them to tell me it rains in Seattle BECAUSE THEY DON'T KNOW WHERE THAT IS.

And as if on cue, "Dr. Birx discovers the Gell-Mann amnesia thesis. That when you see the media talk or write about something you know intimately you realize they are full of crap, then believe them when they cover something you don't know." Which segues to,

"Danish Bible Society writes Israel out of the Bible (both testaments). For progressives, whatever they believe in at this moment is Holy Writ and everything must conform to this. Orwell would not be surprised."

It's not paranoia if Google really is Orwell's Ministry of Truth.

  • And SCOTUS is doing what for us?
  • Even cops can't trust cops of any kind.
  • "The only thing that could stop someone like this is individual citizens being prepared to defend themselves directly." What's the damn difference between one costumed murderer and another.

Democrats are the party of rape and lies. They don't want their victims able to defend themselves.

Vegas still stinks and that could be deliberate.

Codrea observes, Hollywood has always been rotten.

Michael G. sends yet more of the concerted and deliberate effort to misinform everyone about everything.

When totalitarians collide. "The goal of the global-warming crowd has never been to save the planet. Their goal has always been power...."

I was promised a depopulation event but no, all those people are still alive and still stumbling through life three-quarters blind. And eventually they'll all be back on the roads....

  • Perspective on the real disease.
  • Aaaand there go the psychotic racists. However,
  • This whole lockdown/quarantine thing has been the wrong answer from the beginning. You're not preventing the disease, you're preventing immunity, and possibly doing even more harm in the long run.
  • Because Government Makes Everything Worse Forever.
  • Which includes prohibition, as blogbrother SMLE Fan sends "A reminder that hanging Congress and burning NA$A to the ground is merely the beginning." Which I have also pondered, regarding the FAA and FCC.
  • Then, back here "animal" "rights" activists got lion hunting in Africa shut down which resulted in the extermination of the lions they were claiming to protect. I am reminded of that by these items describing shutting down American meat production while importing beef from overseas!?
  • There go the video games again. Carefully ignoring games produced by Muslims portraying the extermination of Jews, or by leftists portraying the extermination of, well, us....
  • Michael G. sends, "So much for Schiff’s breathless speeches about defending the Constitution and the need for oversight." To which dot connect,
  • "A group of volunteers in China who worked to prevent digital records of the coronavirus outbreak from being scrubbed by censors are now targets of a crackdown."
  • Anyone who so much as taps the brakes on this headlong rush toward totalitarianism is driven out and destroyed.
  • Remember, peasant, you'll have "your" day in their court.

Lying about everything, all the time.

  • Never forget the kind of people who don't want us able to defend ourselves. 'Naturally, he was not arrested. From the looks of reports, police let him go home “without incident,” meaning they were aware of who Gillum was and behaved themselves accordingly.' This is why you became a cop.
  • WoGged again. Never trust a cop of any kind.
  • RINO backstabbing in Tennessee. And remember those death figures are lies.
  • Michael G. sends "Government Makes Everything Worse Forever and no good deed goes unpunished." "Absurd enforcement... nanny state nonsense" this is why people hate cops. And yet, "...[S]till donating hand sanitizer to local first responders" would those be the same ones kicking down your door and shooting your puppy?
  • Followed by the kind of psychotic morons who really believe it's all, somehow, our fault.
  • Then, yesterday it was openly calling for death panels and now Hillary calls for government "health" "care". "Since the countries with socialized medicine have all responded so well."
  • With, "Bill De Blasio Should Resign Over His Anti-Semitic Tweet. Wasn't going to send this, then I realized the juxtaposition with the anniversary of the liberation of Dachau." "I have instructed the NYPD to proceed immediately to summons or even arrest those who gather in large groups." Where have we seen that before WHAT ORDER WOULD YOU NOT OBEY.

Silver lining. And a whole lot more arms in circulation.

Perhaps related, blogbrother SMLE Fan sends, "I'm'a thinking this is a half measure. I would revoke statehood and declare them a territory, and let them try again."

Followed by potential SCOTUS action but considering how they punted in that recent New York case maybe that's not Lighter after all, though Codrea has perspective. But it does segue to

  • And then Knox County Tennessee bans bibles in church. Really. Not Babylon Bee.
  • With similar totalitarianism in Indiana, and
  • RINO backstabbing in Arizona, to which dots
  • Michael connects "Governor Newsom tells Governor Whitmer to 'Hold my beer and watch this': Attacks Beachgoers, Threatens to Extend Lockdowns, While Releasing 'High Risk' Sex Offenders." And the police obey those orders.
  • With, the most corrupt FBI director in history. And that's saying something.
