A concerted and deliberate effort to brainwash the masses, whitewash themselves, and destroy history. Kipling warned us....

Speaking of brainwashing, burn the colleges.

Blogbrother SMLE Fan sends, no longer regret never having served in the military, Chapter MMMMMDLIII.

  • South Carolina town bans renting property to MuslimsOH. WAIT.
  • Speaking of First Amendment issues....
  • After dozens and hundreds and unreported thousands of liars, thieves, serial rapists, child pornographers, and back-shooting murderers in government costumes, I have said I will never trust a cop of any kind. I have said the only good cop is a dead cop. I have wished for TSA screener's rotting corpses to dangle from streetlights along every Airport Way in the country, birds pecking at their lifeless eyes. But you know, even I must admit - hesitantly, grudgingly, and with a hand on a weapon - that some of these costumed sociopaths are necessary. On the gripping hand, everyone is still ignoring the other end of the equation - like that scene in Catch-22, where the guy spends all that time carefully treating his crewmate's leg wound, unaware of the other injury.

    The World Sucks

Sixteen years ago Larry Niven, Jerry Pournelle, and Michael Flynn wrote Fallen Angels, a counterattack against envirofascists and luddites and even, at the time, what we now know as Social Justice Warriors. One of the main plot points was the return of glaciers as Terra entered a new ice age. "Global" "Warming" MY ASS.

Michael G. sends "The myth that gun makers block gun control. But gun controllers believe in so many fairy tales, what's another one?" Followed by, "Acting on belief in the myth gun makers block gun control. Catholic groups buy enough shares in gun makers to be able to harass them from the inside. As an inactive Catholic I would rather see these groups apply their efforts to cleaning up the rot in the Catholic church, but people who can't control themselves demanding to control others is also very common." Also, the seduction of socialism and hatred of capitalism; they want free stuff without working for it, and hate anyone who demands to be paid for their goods or services. Which segues to:

    Immigrants Contributing to Society

Speaking of which, a while back there was some pro-"refugee" activist in Europe - or probably more than one - who got raped and/or murdered by those same "refugees". Comes now on radio news, the father of Mollie Tibbetts, murdered here in America by an illegal immigrant, demands that his daughter's death not be used to promote a "racist" anti-immigration policy. His own daughter's life means less to him than the multiple-criminal who murdered her.

Also on radio news, California schoolteachers - meaning teachers' unions - want the power to petition courts to confiscate firearms from anyone THEY deem a danger to themselves or others. But don't worry, peasants, that power would never be abused to advance personal bias or a political agenda.

  • Michael G. sends: "Analyses of Uber driver self defense case. Local law enforcement says open and shut. Andrew Branca analyzes and concurs. But would local law enforcement have made such a rapid ruling in accordance with the facts if all the facts were the same EXCEPT the Uber driver WASN'T a recent police academy graduate? Or would they argue that his violating Uber policy in order to protect his life made him a probable bad guy and the shooting criminal? How important is the blue vaccine to this case?"

It is becoming impossible to separate entertainment from entertainer, and it seems most of the entertainers are sexual predators and/or traitors who hate me and want me to die.

David Klinger says unequivocally that it was a bad shoot, the officer was never in danger of death or serious injury and he failed to make sure of what was behind what he was shooting at. Mike Quinn gives him the benefit of the doubt, that without being there it looks different. Would Mr. Quinn give the same benefit of the doubt to someone who wasn't a police officer? My personal favorite though is Tom Conley who says the dog was doing exactly what a dog is supposed to do, but that the officer was fully justified in trying to shoot it and he would have done the same thing." Years ago, the fictional founder of my fictional future Republic fictionally said, "When writing a Constitution, do not have faith in the better natures of your successors. America's Founders were brilliant men, but even they could not have imagined the blatantly, openly, gleefully evil creatures America suffered at her end. Write your Constitution and laws with the expectation they will be twisted and deliberately misinterpreted. Make sure the people always have real teeth to defend themselves and their liberty." Now Michael G. sends, "Andrew McCarthy admits he was wrong to advocate giving the FedGov so many national security powers:"
"After 9/11, The Wall came down. Its razing was endorsed by such experienced hands as your humble correspondent. We argued that it was ridiculous to believe the FBI would pretextually use FISA to conduct a criminal investigation. Many times I posited that, even if we assume a rogue agent, it would be far easier for the rogue to fabricate the evidence needed to get a criminal wiretap than to fabricate a national-security angle so he could use FISA. I insisted that if the rogue tried to go the FISA route, he’d never get away with it. FISA requires too many levels of scrutiny in the upper ranks of the FBI and the Justice Department — responsible superiors who would stop the rogue in his tracks.
    "I was wrong.
"What I didn’t factor in was the possibility that, for political reasons, the upper ranks of the FBI and Justice Department would do an investigation by themselves. That should never happen. The bosses are supposed to be the cooler heads, with detachment from on-the-ground investigation. They are there to enforce guidelines and prevent abuse, to police investigations, not conduct them."

"Jack went to be with the Lord, on Sunday, 8 April 2018.
"Professionally, Jack was head of the Department of Education at Eastern Michigan University as well as a prolific author of numerous books, most of which were on the topic of Education and the Government's role therein. His interest in Conservative Politics was exceeded only by his intellectual ability.
"This is the last of his works:"

    "Civil War
    "How do civil wars happen?
"Two or more sides disagree on who runs the country. And they can't settle the question through elections because they don't even agree that elections are how you decide who's in charge. That's the basic issue here. Who decides who runs the country? When you hate each other but accept the election results, you have a country. When you stop accepting election results, you have a countdown to a civil war.
"The Mueller investigation is about removing President Trump from office and overturning the results of an election. We all know that. But it's not the first time they've done this. The first time a Republican president was elected this century, they said he didn't really win. The Supreme Court gave him the election. There's a pattern here.
"What do sure odds of the Democrats rejecting the next Republican president really mean? It means they don't accept the results of any election that they don't win. It means they don't believe that transfers of power in this country are determined by elections.
    "That's a civil war.
"There's no shooting. At least not unless you count the attempt to kill a bunch of Republicans at a charity baseball game practice. But the Democrats have rejected our system of government.
"This isn't dissent. It's not disagreement. You can hate the other party. You can think they're the worst thing that ever happened to the country. But then you work harder to win the next election. When you consistently reject the results of elections that you don't win, what you want is a dictatorship.
    "Your very own dictatorship.
"The only legitimate exercise of power in this country, according to Democrats, is its own. Whenever Republicans exercise power, it's inherently illegitimate. The Democrats lost Congress. They lost the White House. So what did they do? They began trying to run the country through Federal judges and bureaucrats. Every time that a Federal judge issues an order saying that the President of the United States can't scratch his own back without his say so, that's the civil war.
"Our system of government is based on the Constitution, but that's not the system that runs this country. The Democrat's system is that any part of government that it runs gets total and unlimited power over the country.
"If the Democrats are in the White House, then the president can do anything. And I mean anything. He can have his own amnesty for illegal aliens. He can fine you for not having health insurance. His power is unlimited. He's a dictator.
"But when Republicans get into the White House, suddenly the President can't do anything. He isn't even allowed to undo the illegal alien amnesty that his predecessor illegally invented. A Democrat in the White House has 'discretion' to completely decide every aspect of immigration policy. A Republican doesn't even have the 'discretion' to reverse him. That's how the game is played. That's how our country is run. Sad but true, although the left hasn't yet won that particular fight.
"When a Democrat is in the White House, states aren't even allowed to enforce immigration law. But when a Republican is in the White House, states can create their own immigration laws. Under Obama, a state wasn't allowed to go to the bathroom without asking permission. But under Trump, Jerry Brown can go around saying that California is an independent republic and sign treaties with other countries.
"The Constitution has something to say about that.
"Whether it's Federal or State, Executive, Legislative or Judiciary, the left moves power around to run the country. If it controls an institution, then that institution is suddenly the supreme power in the land. This is what I call a moving dictatorship.
"Donald Trump has caused the Shadow Government to come out of hiding: Professional government is a guild. Like medieval guilds. You can't serve in if you're not a member. If you haven't been indoctrinated into its arcane rituals. If you aren't in the club. And Trump isn't in the club. He brought in a bunch of people who aren't in the club with him.
"Now we're seeing what the pros do when amateurs try to walk in on them. They spy on them, they investigate them and they send them to jail. They use the tools of power to bring them down.
    "That's not a free country.
"It's not a free country when FBI agents who support Hillary take out an 'insurance policy' against Trump winning the election. It's not a free country when Obama officials engage in massive unmasking of the opposition. It's not a free country when the media responds to the other guy winning by trying to ban the conservative media that supported him from social media. It's not a free country when all of the above collude together to overturn an election because the guy who wasn't supposed to win did.
"Have no doubt, we're in a civil war between conservative volunteer government and a leftist Democrat professional government."

"I have, as I may have mentioned, 4 sons, who range from age 9 years down to 9 days. My boys (aside from the new baby) like to run around and play pretend games, like all normal kids do. Most of the time I don’t pay much attention to exactly what they are doing, it generally involves a lot of 'pew pew' noises and shouting.
"The other day I overheard them playing at some form of Cops and Robbers. Now, my kids are trained that having a uniform and a badge doesn’t remove a person from the category of potentially hazardous stranger, but I don’t make a big deal out of my feelings about police (which are similar to yours), because I don’t want them to be scared of police, just wary and cautious around them. So my 6 year old is playing the police officer and my 9 year old is playing the criminal. I hear 6YO say 'Your getaway truck is blown up! Police have missiles and heavy weapons!'
"Now, the militarization of police is not something I discuss in detail with my kids, but they have absorbed enough from the news and TV that to them, it’s totally natural that the cops have an MRAP and military grade hardware. And that makes me worry about the future of the United States. To my kids and their contemporaries, this mess is the normal way of things. I try to tell them that this isn’t the way it should be, and I try to teach them about what freedom really is, but I’m fighting against the whole weight of cultural change and inertia.
