The World Sucks
IMMIGRANTS. CONTRIBUTING TO SOCIETY.
Which segues to your tax dollars at work...
...propping up people who won't.
RINO backstabbing in Occupied Colorado.
The place where California used to be is going down Venezuela's path.
Meanwhile at church, people closing their eyes, sticking their fingers in their ears, humming real loud, and pretending the real world doesn't exist.
In Lighter News
Blogbrother SMLE Fan ponders the history of warfare. Which thing is also relevant to my interests.
Sigh, had an opportunity to watch Episode VIII again. Badly written, internally inconsistent, if not quite discontinuitous, lacking pacing and flow, forced homages to the source material, visuals-for-their-own-sake contributing little or nothing to the plot. That guy who made a defeminized fan-edit has a point, and there's that whole Canto Bight thing too. I mean, Episode I looks good and makes sense in comparison (and had a better Climactic Lightsaber Duel also). Now the new Expanded Universe - since Disney threw away thirty-odd years of the old one - is scrambling to fill in blanks and explain all the nonsense.
Yeah, the next time someone tells you how awesome that latest movie was....
I told you, "You ever notice how the people telling us to open our borders and be more welcoming to 'refugees' are the same people who live in gated communities with 24-hour armed guards?"
But keep telling me how much Immigrants Contribute to Society.
Looks like the GOP(e) is still indistinguishable from the enemy.
Sooo, a highschool teacher and city council member borders on sedition by insulting the military, an alarmed student records and releases the hate-filled rant, and the student gets death threats? If you ever wondered why I say burn the government schools....
Michael G. sends even more gibbering-psychosis-as-offical-policy: "Russians support 2A so Americans will kill each other.
That's what Dem Adam Schiff said at the University of Pennsylvania. Doesn't seem to believe we will notice that most of the killings happen in the least 2A friendly areas. Of course his target audience is people dumb enough to vote for people like him."
Epic Comeback o' the Day.
Years ago I wrote, "...[T]he native populations have better things to do with their lives than work in the fields! Most farming labor is robotic, almost fully automated, again independently solar or fusion powered, and with automatic repair and maintenance systems." Working on that too. It will be cleaner and safer also, to say nothing of the demographic warfare implications.
California proposes a "voluntary" list of people to not sell guns to? When the Prophet Heinlein was describing the Crazy Years, he was shooting low.
For further example, "Let's get this girl expelled" from an American college in America for refusing to submit to Islam? And now there's a non-zero chance she'll be targeted for an acid attack because that's how the "tolerant" and "inclusive" crowd thinks.
As if that weren't enough, what if words like "reeducation" really are being used out loud right here in the United States of America?
Not unrelated, Tucson Tom, benevolent donor of the Queen, sends:
FIFTEEN DOLLARS AN HOUR! WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG?
Show, chat and show every Sunday 1100 Pacific Time.
An increment in Illinois-of-all-places, and a rather larger one in Iowa.
I recently observed that Elon Musk, for all the excitement we feel about his kicking open the door to the universe, is not one of Our Kind, not a lover of liberty. One of my favorite authors, Michael Z. Williamson, ponders another of Elon's products, with links to alternatives.
"A strong body makes the mind strong. As to the species of exercise, I advise the gun. While this gives a moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise, and independence to the mind. Games played with the ball, and others of that nature, are too violent for the body, and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be the constant companion of your walks."-Thomas Jefferson
HEY QUICK WHAT'S GOOGLE'S MOTTO? "...[A] stunning display of unprofessional behavior not just by rank-and-file employees but managers and even a senior vice president, including overt discrimination, prejudice on the basis of race and gender, conflation of dissenting political views with racism and sexism, punishment of those who asked questions about what behavior was permitted, endorsement of politically motivated violence, and even an attack on the very notion of truth itself."
Hey I know, let's give the government a monopoly on health care transportation!
In the Marvel Cinematic Universe TV series The Gifted, the government is hunting mutants and one of the leaders of a refugee center, after being attacked by a "refugee" brainwashed by the government into an anti-mutant weapon, says, "We don't turn away desperate people just because some of them might be dangerous." Actually, yes, that's exactly what sane societies do.
Because other cultures are not morally equivalent to ours.
Michael G. sends, "Head of Nebraska professors union resigns rather than support abusive professor. I'd be a little more accepting of the AAUP demanding protection for progressive professors if they also demanded protection for conservative professors. But to state the question is to answer it."
He further observes, "If liberals didn't have double standards, they would have no standards at all. Ithaca College faculty voice their support for their current president despite a conviction for sexual abuse of a psychiatric patient. After all their current president is a woman, so #metoo doesn't apply." And that's what you're getting for your soul-crushing student loan debt.
Flying cars. Still working on it. If the damned bureaucrats will get out of the damned way.
Aurora, part 75, is online. If you find this fictional future history entertaining, please consider a charitable donation through the PayPal button at the top or bottom of most pages on this site. Thank you.
Michael G. sends what society contributes to immigrants: "...[M]ore than the single payment of $25 billion that it will cost to build a wall -- five and a half times more, and every year."
Which segues to, years ago I wrote, "The last of the productive class was effectively enslaved to prop up the non-workers, whose 'votes' kept the regime in power."
Hey remember that big stink over Jim Zumbo and whatever Fudd magazine he was writing for? We do.
Aaaaand they still don't see us as human beings.
It's getting harder every day to separate the entertainment from the entertainer.
Michael G. and blogbrother SMLE Fan both send rebellion at the grand jury. I told you prohibition is the greater evil and more people are beginning to realize it.
"Treason against the United States shall consist only in levying War against them...."
Michael G. observes, "Donations made to traditional marriage group at Georgetown embezzled by University. The article says they were 'misdirected' to LBGTQ groups, but embezzled seems like a more accurate description. Do you suppose that pro-gun contributions, say to Campus Carry, would be similarly 'misdirected' to groups like Everytown?"
To which dot connect burn the government schools....
Real socialism! Never been tried!
Some years ago there was a threat by the "black" "community" to riot and burn cities if the NFL season was cancelled. What's the damn difference?
There have been several instances of busybody control freaks calling the cops on kids with lemonade stands - and the cops answering, to come terrorize the kids and rob their parents at the implied point of a government gun. Foreign Correspondent Jacob N., Trapped in New York, sends now: "New York Post: Girl Scout who sold cookies outside pot shop could be in trouble. Girl Scouts says they are troubled by it and are looking for a way to find out who this kid is to punish her. I say it’s an ingenious way to sell more cookies."
Which segues to:
SPACEX KICKING OPEN THE DOOR TO THE UNIVERSE
Years ago I wrote, "There was no law enforcement gang, strutting about with an inflated sense of worth and a condescending view of the productive class whose money and property they stole, and yet with no legal obligation to 'protect and serve'; that lesson also had been written in blood, too often of the innocent. Private firms, under real contracts, competed in an open market. Those who couldn't deliver protection, physical or intangible, went out of business." Working on it?
Tromping back and forth across a great big parking lot
is getting old.
So to speak.
Michael G. observes: "Top BLM activist murdered in New Orleans. They haven't released a description of a suspect, but at that time and place I would think any person of pallor would have stood out." I'll bet a dollar it wasn't a Republican NRA member either.
Speaking of dollars, I rarely eat at restaurants of any kind, including burger joints, nor do I often buy the big national-brand groceries, because I and my pitiful finances are always waiting for the next thing to go horribly and expensively wrong, and there are other reasons.
Years ago I wrote "The rotunda was capped by a restaurant whose floor was armorglas so clear the diners seemed to be walking on air. Tables, chairs, even the very plates and utensils were likewise transparent. Another transparency formed a dome over this, to repel weather and the racket of the aerospace traffic still endlessly thundering above Big Tee, while giving an unobstructed view of the port complex and the city which had grown around it." Yeah. Like this.
And another competitor.
A lot of people, from a lot of places and positions, are excited about this. As I wrote years ago, and as I truly believe will someday come to pass: "The worms are out of the can, the genie out of the bottle, the cat out of the bag. From now on, no matter what goes wrong, no matter how bad it gets in one place, there will always be somewhere to run to."
Michael G. observes - as I also have - an ongoing awakening: "A call for #metoo to support gun rights. A rape survivor says the best way to empower her is to stop infringing on that which shall not be infringed."
Prohibition will always FAIL because FABBERS will CHANGE the WORLD and there's always another way.
Project Gunwalker is also a product of the swamp and the Deep State.
By which is also meant, Dan Rather - of all people! - criticizes a memo as fake.
Michael G. sends "Addendum to yesterday's BLM story: Cofounder still saying Trayvon was murdered. Makes me wonder if they are going to discover a grassy knoll in New Orleans that a white racist fired from."
Then, "Swedish dhimmitude. Unless Swedes as a whole start resisting the system their ancestors built and the invaders that system brings in, I don't care about them. But their experiences serve as good examples against those here who want to go the same direction."
That would be this direction.
I no longer regret never having served in the military, Chapter MMMMMCCCXLVIII.
Michael G. sends intended consequences.
Increments on the Second Front in Texas and it's been a while since I demanded jail time or a noose for any hypocritical thief-with-a-badge who ever "confiscated" an "illegal" knife, and for any prosecutor-persecutor or unstable-freak-in-black-robes who upheld such bigotry.
How many times do I have to say they hate us and want us to die?
And they want special protection against their victims.
"PETA’s kill rate stands out an alarming 74%." But they're at war with hunters, whose fees and taxes go to maintaining habitats for wildlife and without which bureaucrats exterminate endangered animals.
Your Tax Dollars At Work, putting thousands of "homeless" people in hotels while we who work to pay those taxes struggle to make rent.
"Real Socialism Has Never been Tried"
And neither has government "health" "care". See comments for further examples.
Foreign Correspondent Jacob N., Trapped in New York, sends: "Eating their own kind alive: The title of this professor’s class is 'Cultural Freedoms: Hate Speech, Blasphemy and Pornography.' Looking at the title, one would assume that words and ideas that are considered distasteful, hateful, or unpleasant would be under discussion.
"But they were shocked, those Princetonian snowflakes, that the professor would dare say the unspeakable N-word aloud, in a class on hate speech, and thus there was a profanity laced tirade and it makes the newspapers.
"That’s the problem with the left, and most universities, as we see over and over: things that are not in the acceptable categories can’t even be mentioned, much less discussed.
"I’ve been listening to an audio performance of the book 1984 on my endless driving around, and I just listened to the part where the editor of the Newspeak Dictionary waxes rhapsodic about how, in 50 years, nobody will be able to even think of ideas against the Party because the words won’t exist any more. Orwell was supposed to be a cautionary tale, not a book of suggestions.
"I’m getting that hopeless feeling again.
"And as if on cue, making things go down the memory hole because the very words are to be destroyed." Reckon they don't take kindly to Kipling or The Bard either.
Also as if on cue, Michael G. sends: "Remember, at college non progressive speech is 'violence.'" In the specific case, the author's critics appear to be proving him right just as SFWA and WorldCon proved Larry Correia right in the Puppygate affair. "...[T]he Directorate’s original statement was edited to remove the line stating that merit was the only factor guiding their decision process." But that's not suspicious at all.
Michael also sends, "Remember, Babylon Bee is a news parody humor site, like The Onion" BUT I CAN'T TELL ANYMORE.
Think about the kind of people who don't want you able to defend yourself and don't want themselves able to defend themselves either.
Years ago when I started "adjusting" the American Constitution to fit my fictional future Republic, I wrote: "SECTION 2. Being essential to the preservation of Liberty, the restraint of Government...."
And lest that be seen as hyperbole, Matthew Bracken's Enemies trilogy postulated an alliance of communists, illegal aliens, Islamists and the like causing the United States to disintegrate. But that was just a story... RIGHT?
Codrea continues questioning ideological purity, this time in the Ohio governor's race. Which segues to:
Immigrants, Contributing to Society. Yeah got yer "rape culture" right there.
The other day I was saying how nobody was making new Garand rifles at any price. That's still true, but there are now ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND GARANDS AVAILABLE SOON THROUGH CMP - and that's not counting another eighty-odd thousand still in Korea. I have mine now of course, and I hope to someday return to competition with her (if the universe will stop pooping on me), but you should get yours while you can.
So, yeah, it's still not multi-racial multi-gendered wymyn's studies majors building rockets and getting things done. And some race-obsessed hate-filled bigots just can't stand that.
To which dot connect, it is still not Republican NRA members shooting each other by the dozen in places with strict "gun control". We're too busy going to crappy jobs to be taxed for massive welfare fraud to pay for their gold jewelry and 40-ounce malt liquors and 50-inch plasma screens and $600 sneakers and $700 iPhones and NOBODY WANTS TO TALK ABOUT ANY OF THAT.
Burn all the government schools, all around the world.
And the colleges too.
Remember that scene in the first Matrix film where Agent Smith is describing humans as a virus? How it spreads and consumes resources until it kills its host and has to expand to a new one? Socialism fits that description too.
Michael G. sends, "Iran shoots down Israeli jet over Israel with Russian missile. Thanks, Obama!"
Then, for your soul-crushing student loan debt, "A presentation at the University of Michigan will deal with the subject of pederasty, or sex between men and boys, with the professor giving the speech apparently hoping to 'dignify and redeem' what he calls 'intergenerational modern pederastic relationships.'" But tell me again how "there is no homosexual agenda" to normalize child molestation.
With, Immigrants Contributing More Immigrants to Society. But that's not something we should worry about... RIGHT?
OMG GLOOOOBAL WAAAAARMING OCEANS RIIIIIISING ISLANDS SIIIIINKING oh. wait.
Michael G. sends, "Special UV lights kill airborne flu virus. Also other virus and bacteria. A little lighter news for a change." This also means we're less likely to end up with antibiotic-resistant mutant super-bugs.
Blogbrother SMLE Fan sends more reverberations from Falcon Heavy. Building a big ship and station in orbit and refueling there instead of lifting everything out of this gravity well all at once, every time is how things were supposed to have been done SIXTY DAMN YEARS AGO. Next we capture comets to mine for water and we don't have to lift that out of the gravity well anymore. Then we capture asteroids to build things from and we don't have to lift that out of the gravity well either.
More data on the HUNDRED THOUSAND GARANDS AVAILABLE FROM THE CIVILIAN MARKSMANSHIP PROGRAM.
More than half through Another Girl, Another Planet, but setting it aside for 1637: The Volga Rules, whose jacket blurb describes a plot similar in broad outline to a certain John Wayne film.
Michael G. sends, "Green group sues to block border wall because it would be too tall for an endangered butterfly to fly over. Two thoughts. Isn't the favored prototype wall design a steel barred bottom section that you can look through (and a butterfly could fly through) with a solid concrete upper section? And since the butterfly is endangered by habitat destruction wouldn't a wall reducing human traffic through the area also reduce the habitat destruction?" But they don't want anyone to think about those things.
I've observed before that Japan is not a free country, that there seems be something deep inside their national and racial psyche that needs to be given permission to do anything, that anyone who tries to escape their assigned box is forced back into it. Meanwhile in America, shared files generate more legitimate sales.
Months ago I asked, "You ever notice how the people who claim to be 'fighting racism' are the same people who are calling for the oppression or outright murder of anyone with white skin?" And now CJ will be denounced as "Oreo" and "Uncle Tom" and get death threats against himself and his family for not hating people for the color of their skin.
Aaaaaaaaaaand f*** the Olympics.
"Weapons of war have no place on our streets" unless they're brought here by illegal-immigrant child-rapists in drug cartels?
And then I got out of bed and
went back to work.
Foreign Correspondent Jacob N., Trapped in New York, sends: "Unilever is concerned about the 'toxic swamp of racism, sexism, and fake news' on social media and will pull its advertising dollars unless the platforms follow the party line. While Unilever is free to spend its advertising dollars however its board and officers feel best serves the needs of the corporation, I happen to think that it’s poor policy. This gets back to what I sent the other day about making the very words go away. It’s clear that what Unilever’s CEO really wants is to shut down and block out any message that is not in keeping with the leftist political orthodoxy. Of course, because of ignorance of history, he and his minions don’t seem to understand that only destruction and tyranny await once you start on that path." Yeah we saw the real swamp of racism, sexism and fake news just the other day.
Speaking of "racism", what if Trump will be the one to finally kill it?
Michael G. sends: "Along with new voters, California importing new political class: Giant swamp dwelling rodents."
Then, "Diversity bureaucrats have total control of San Diego State U. They capped their progress by getting one of their own named university president." Hired for the color of her skin, not the content of her character.
Larry Correia gets his knives out for the ivory-tower elitists who never missed a meal in their lives. 'Round here, Winco Foods tends to have the lowest prices. Frozen boneless skinless chicken breasts are usually three pounds for six dollars. Everywhere else tends to be higher, per unit. Fortunately, a couple years ago a Grocery Outlet opened within walking distance of the hovel, and for the past couple weeks they've had four pound bags for five dollars. They don't always, so when they do I try to stock up.
Speaking of hate-filled bigots who have no idea how anything works and can't stand anyone who does....
Linux is looking better all the time....
"The private sector has shown that the conventional wisdom of the slow-moving, risk-averse space bureaucracy is wrong."
Once in a while the system works: Michael G. sends, "Court to U of WA: You can't censor speech and call it 'security fees'." But that's not the way to bet.
Likewise, Europe awakens - but probably too little, too late.
In my fictional future history I postulate advanced materials with previously unattained properties. Michael G. sends, working on it.
Do they want epic continent-spanning racial backlash? Because this is how you get epic continent-spanning racial backlash.
No longer regretting never having served in the military, Chapter MMMMMCCCDIII.
RINO backstabbing in Kansas and North Carolina.
Immigrants Contributing to Society
Meanwhile in "Palestine"....
From the government schools, Foreign Correspondent Jacob N., Trapped in New York, sends: "No friends for you: American and European schools consider banning best friends. The next step is of course banning friends at all. And the next step after that is 'The Party is Mother, The Party is Father, The Party is everyone’s best friend.'"
Which segues to, remember when colleges were hotbeds of free speech and alternative points of view? They sure don't.
To which dot Michael G. connects, "The only Democrat to denounce Antifa violence is the one whose son was arrested for participating in an Antifa riot. Between the denouncer and the non-denouncers I think we've achieved fifty shades of hypocrisy."
Half a year ago I asked what you were doing for the cause. Since I launched this site I've had links on my front page to numerous state and national organizations. Here's a list of more. -I'm sure there will be some on the list whose ideological purity can be questioned. Fine, choose another.
For years in these pages I've been complaining about parasites and frauds with gold jewelry and Cadillac SUVs, living off other people's work through their EBT cards. Trump is trying to do something about that. Observe who opposes it, and connect that to the other day's piece about Trump killing racism, and how the Democrat party, supposedly the one "for minorities", is being exposed as the owners of the plantations.
An increment in Illinois-of-all-places, and action in Arizona.
ONE OF THEIRS.
PRETENDING TO BE ONE OF OURS.
THINK ABOUT THAT.
Foreign Correspondent Jacob N., Trapped in New York, sends: "Cognitive dissonance from the government schools. I’m trying to wrap my head around this one. On the one hand, we have people's careers and lives being destroyed by allegations of making unwanted advances on people, with the result that men are terrified to even be in the same room with a woman without a chaperone. And here we have a school telling 6th grade girls that they can’t say no to a boy who asks to dance, no matter how squicky the boy is. All in the name of 'inclusion', of course." And I'm reminded of certain passages from Aldous Huxley's Brave New World. Which cautionary tale has been misinterpreted as an instruction manual perhaps as much as Orwell's.
But those were just stories... RIGHT?
And then this happens. As if on cue.
Michael G. sends, "IRS can revoke your passport. If they say you are $50,000 or more in arrears on taxes and penalties. Not if you are convicted of being $50K in arrears. Not if you are formally charged with being $50K in arrears. Merely if they say you are $50K in arrears. And Congress gave them this power, they didn't just make it up themselves."
So we can't leave but everyone else can come in?
And that, somehow, makes me "racist"?
Hmm, a different kind of sanctuary state. Essentially, all those Firearms Freedom Acts from a couple years back.
Years ago I wrote, "Our medical technology can repair almost any injury, cure almost any disease...." Michael G. observes, Super powerful new class of antibiotics discovered.
Codrea continues questioning ideological purity and media bias. And you know, one has to seriously question the politically-convenient timing of these attacks. What if that's not a paranoid conspiracy theory?
Because there really is a concerted and deliberate effort.
It’s getting quite old.
And the walls keep closing in.
And the walls keep closing in.
While other walls truly need to be built.
Yesterday it was reported that the monster was yet another registered Democrat. Today comes a retraction. But that's still the way to bet.
"...[L]ocked in their hallucination bubble." And forcing their delusions on the rest of us at the point of a government gun.
No, really, there is a concerted and deliberate effort to misinform everyone about everything. There really is a vast left-wing conspiracy.
To which dot Michael G. connects: "'Men occasionally stumble over the truth, but most of them pick themselves up and hurry off as if nothing ever happened,' as said by Winston Churchill. A perfect illustration is the lead editorial in the University of Iowa's newspaper, the Daily Iowan. It starts, 'The Second Amendment was written to protect America’s freedom,' but then continues, 'which is not in imminent danger.' Mixed in with the usual emotionalism and disinformation it says, 'Some might argue that should an imminent threat rise, people would want to have a gun in their possession already.' And then proceeds to blow off giving an answer to that argument. I think it is obvious that they realize our case is powerful but they don't understand why, so they think they can defeat it by parroting it back in a twisted manner and then just hand waving away as a response."
Tucson Tom connects another dot: widespread "prescription" of mind-altering drugs by government-school "nurses" who probably aren't qualified to muck out cages at an animal shelter.
Aaaaaaaaand RINO backstabbing.
California High School Bans the National Anthem. Really.
And more Immigrants Contributing to Society.
MidWestReader alerts me to a Serious Scientific Study called Lessons from 12,000 Gunfights.
An increment in Alabama.

A week ago I compared socialism to a virus. For further example. They foul their nests, flee from the mess they made, then foul everyone else's. And I'm still stuck in this increasingly horrible place, with nowhere else to go and no way to get there, doing work which saddens me, with people I have to downshift my brain to communicate with....
Speaking of migration, Michael G. sends: "History lesson from Iran on how Islamism takes over: Pretend to be peaceful, reasonable and non coercive, then once you achieve power bring the hammer down big time." "Many will still think it is impossible for something like this to happen in their country." Despite the very thing actually happening in Britain and France and Germany and Sweden and...
...comparable degeneration right here at home.
Michael Z. Williamson offers that "conversation" about guns the rape-and-genocide-enablers keep whining about. Yeah I could add a few words my ownself. We refuse to be lectured by superstitious bigots who have not the slightest idea what they're talking about.
Meanwhile on campus, hey remember when segregation was a bad thing? So, illiterate third-world savages who believe in witchcraft and stone rape victims to death are welcome, but the people who build and run the civilizational machine that keeps everyone alive aren't?
I must continue repeating my appeal.

Codrea debates the enemies foreign. Because truck attacks and subway bombings and public beheadings and acid thrown in girls' faces is so much better than allowing free people to defend themselves.
Michael G. sends: "RINO billionaire to GOP: 'I won't give any more money to losers to piss away unless you cut your own throats by banning assault weapons.' What good was his money anyway if it was never intended to lead to victory?" Even more superstitious bigots who have no idea what they're talking about.
Here is a man who did not simply sit at his desk waiting to be murdered.
Remember, peasant, media bias doesn't exist.
Blogbrother SMLE Fan sends something which bears repeating:
Which we have seen.
Awakening in Ohio.
I wish to acquire this very particular gas block:
It is used by Windham Weaponry on some of their barrels, uppers, and complete rifles. They have told me it is not available separately.
This gas block has:
a Picatinny rail at the SAME HEIGHT as the upper receiver rail;
and a bayonet lug;
and a conventional sling swivel;
and it is pinned to the barrel instead of using set- or clamp-screws.
If you have one, for example taken off a Windham rifle which has been reconfigured, I WILL PAY MONEY FOR IT. Please contact me by clicking "comment" below.
