RIFLEMAN'S JOURNAL - AUGUST 2017
The World Sucks
Nowhere to go
and no way to get there.
Hey remember when government "health" "care" "death panels" were dismissed as paranoid conspiracy theories?
In George Orwell's Nineteen Eighty-Four, the Ministry of Truth altered history and generated propaganda to further the goals of socialism. But that was just a story... RIGHT? (See also.)
Michael G. sends, Don't Go to College, Where Due Process Goes to Die: "College: Accusation = conviction. Even when the accuser is a third party and the 'victim' repeatedly denies that the assault ever occurred."
Then, in the place where Germany used to be, "Terror wave hits Germany before election - but German government and media are doing their best to hide it from the electorate. They are bound and determined to re-elect Merkel, and the Islamists' habit of never missing an opportunity to miss an opportunity won't be allowed to interfere."

Okay, fellow otaku, here's a question on the level of "What order should Star Wars be viewed in": As a youth I watched Star Blazers on Saturday morning cartoon TV. Decades later I discovered, and through the Power of the Almighty Internets, finally got to watch the entirety of, the original Japanese Space Battleship Yamato from which Star Blazers was cut down, dubbed, and syndicated. Then in 2012 came the Gritty Reboot, Uchuu Senkan Yamato 2199, which IMO is technically and artistically superior to the original in every way, and which is now being followed by 2202, Grittily Rebooting the outstanding second series featuring the Comet Empire and containing, IMO, some of the most powerful moments in all of visual entertainment (if they don't screw up the remake (and considering how the remake of the original Iscandar series came out I'm confident of success)). Now I'm trying to get blogbrother SMLE Fan to join me in fandom and I'm quite ambivalent about how he should do it: Watch the originals all the way through for proper context and then watch the reboot, or dive right into the far more mature and higher-quality reboot without the 30-plus-year emotional investment in the originals? Click on "comment" below to opine.
Immigrants Contributing to Society....
Can't Even Say the Enemy's Name, Chapter MMMMMCLVIII: Michael G. sends, "The annual 9/11 memorial is being moved to a little used part of the [Southern Methodist University] campus because it could be triggering, harmful or abusive."
And lest that be seen as some paranoid conspiracy theory, what if Google really is manipulating search results to conceal criticism of Islam and Jihad? How many times do we have to say, Orwell was writing a warning, not an instruction manual?
To which dot connect, "Trinity Professor Johnny Eric Williams sided with anonymous blogger 'Son of Baldwin,' who proposed that black emergency personnel should let wounded white people die rather than lend assistance." Which side is trying to start the race war?
Those of you who don't live in solid-deep-blue states where sending an email to a representative results in a form-response three months later bragging about doing the opposite of what you told them to do, blogbrother SMLE Fan sees an activism opportunity.
Michael G. sends, "Their dream of using a government-sanctioned, GMO warning label to scare consumers into buying organic food has been crushed."
To which dot connect, Senior Economic Punishment Agency Official Resigns Over Losing His Power to Abuse Citizens.
Ian McCollum has the Prohibition FAIL o' the Day. And there's always another way.
Can't be very difficult to make one of these either.
A few times recently I've asked if you would trust your life to a bridge, or an airliner, or a piece of medical equipment, designed or built by the current crop of social justice warriors being spewed out of college campuses. Michael G. sends what I meant: "The purpose seems not to be how best to train new engineers but to let everyone know how engineers continue to 'oppress' women and persons of color."
And as if on cue, "College Protesters Demand Peers Pay Them for 'Emotional Labor'". "On second thought, let's not go to Camelot college. It is a silly place...."
Blogbrother SMLE Fan also opines on the younger generations. Not one in fifty could find their way out of a ten-acre wooded lot, or change a flat tire to save their own lives....
"There is perhaps no safer place for a black person to be these days than in a room full of whites." But they call us "racist".
Hey remember when Obamacare would lower everybody's health insurance premiums?
Back here I noted an Israeli-developed cancer vaccine. A month later came, from the same place, a home energy processor. Michael G. now sends:
"Hebrew U researcher reduces need for animal testing. Will PETA be happy about this new technology? No, even if it completely eliminated animal testing, for three reasons:
"1. It helps humans, and they are far more anti-human than pro-animal.
"2. It was invented by a JOOOOO.
"3. It was invented by an ISRAELI JOOOOS in ISRAEL and so was obviously stolen from a palestinian."
A shred of sanity in Italy. Michael G. asks, "But will Europe back them up? Or even allow it?"
Michael G. observes, "A zoning court [in the place where Australia used to be] has upheld a council in blocking construction of a synagogue because an Islamist might try to blow it up."
Timely Visual Aid.
Yet another fake hate crime....
Yet another actual hate crime....
You know, normal, healthy, sane people don't spend every waking moment obsessing over other people's skin color.
Remember, peasant, real (National) Socialism has never been tried.
Someone actually doing something in Occupied California. What have you done for the Cause?
Michael G. sends, Don't Go to College, Where Due Process Goes to Die, Chapter MMMMMCLXI.
Not really Lighter News, as evidence of the degeneration of humanity: "What's worse than night of the evil Butterball? A college campus terrorized by squirrels? It's hard to say what is more pathetic, the lack of understanding of the natural world that leads to this in the first place, or being unable to deal with it afterwards."
Finished Alliance of Shadows, third and possibly last in Correia and Kupari's Dead Six series. Good read, good ride. Zipping through the Prophet Heinlein's Assignment in Eternity, to be followed with Correia et al's Monster Hunter Files and Monster Hunter: Siege.
CMP Garands at Lone Oak. Not making a separate video because I've already covered those bases.
Fourth place of six, 247/1X, 82.33%. Adequate, considering how long it's been since I've had any practice or live fire, and how much the family arthritis is creeping upon me. Not a bad rapid-prone stage either, even with aging eyes and sun glare:
Carpooled up there with a fellow shooter who was new to the M1. He was having trouble with the 2-shot competition clip, which turned out to be his technique; and with the SLED I made as a spare years ago when I made my first one, and gave to him last year or so when he finally got his own M1. The SLED turned out to be a dimensional issue. In The Queen, the first SLED I made allows me to roll the cartridge under the feed lip, then tug and release the op-rod handle to release the bolt, chambering the round - optimal. On his rifle it wouldn't do that last bit, but staring at and fiddling with it, I got the idea that the feed lip needed to be curved down a bit more, to put the cartridge a couple hundredths of an inch lower, to allow the op-rod catch in the rifle's guts just that much room to let go of the op-rod like the Queen's does. So we got out some pliers and commenced to bending, until at last it was just right. So there's two technical problems with an M1 Rifle which I solved this morning, allowing for a more enjoyable match for a fellow shooter (who finished three points and one position ahead of me). Warmfuzzy.
Also I tried a new standing technique - the instinctive position is to bring the support hand back to the balance point, but this could cause the muzzle to wobble around more. This time I put the support hand forward for more leverage, inspired by but not actually like the "C-clamp" grip some of the 3-Gun racers use on their ARs - more leverage, theoretically more stability, like increasing a sight radius, but with hands instead of the eye. Maybe I'm onto something, compared to last time:
On this 72nd anniversary
of the first of only two times in history
that nuclear weapons were actually used in war,
I would remind you that a conventional invasion
would have resulted in half a million or more
Allied casualties, and that the
Japanese government's own estimates were
twenty million Japanese civilian deaths.
They had schoolgirls training
with bamboo spears and
mines on handheld poles
to oppose our landings.
The entire nation was
prepared to commit suicide
rather than surrender.
The atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki,
legitimate strategic targets,
military bases and industrial centers,
prevented a war of extinction.
The Japanese nation, culture and race
would not exist today
if the atomic bombs had not been used.
And remember one more thing:
They started it.
NO. REALLY. MASSIVE VOTE FRAUD.
Unions have not only outlived their usefulness, they have become a "cure" worse than the disease they were created against. Michael G. observes: "UAW crushed in election, takes fight to courts. Because that's what leftists do. Court battle will no doubt be accompanied by and followed with a propaganda campaign vilifying Nissan (look forward to a Norma Rae remake set in a car factory), and vandalism and sabotage." “More than 60 percent of Nissan workers opposed unionizing” but the union is going to ask the government to force them to join anyway. The parallel to Obamacare should be obvious to anyone who isn't a psychotic kleptomaniacal totalitarian bigot.
Don't Go to College....
Hey, all you anti-self-defense perverts. Please explain, in small words, how this is the NRA's fault, or Trump's, or mine.
On the show, interview with the creator of GunFacts, which is up to v7.0 now, and still free to download. For the Cause.
Concurrently, in today's chatroom....
Holograms are a major trope in and staple of science fiction. I make considerable use of them in my own work. One of the stumbling blocks so far, to bringing them to the real world, has been the need for some kind of medium for lasers to react with to create the image, rather than just appearing in mid-ordinary-air. Working on it. Oh, you think it looks crude and bulky and generates a low-quality image, compared to what Clone Commander Cody held in his hand at the beginning of Order 66? What were the first home television sets like, compared to the monitor you're reading this on now? Or the first not-even-pocket calculators, compared to the phones everyone has their noses buried in these days?
"...[N]ot one protester could cite a single instance of racism or one call for violence, but since when does a lynch mob need evidence to trigger blind fury?"
Years ago I designed this bumper sticker:
Michael G. now sends, "Rape survivor wishes she had gun. But don't believe her, the demanding moms assure me it would have just been taken away from her."
Think about the kind of people who believe women don't have the right to defend themselves against rapists. Those would be the same kind of people who oppose the death penalty for murder.
Burn the colleges....
Yesterday was the anniversary of the destruction of Hiroshima. Wednesday is the same for Nagasaki. Michael G. sends, "If a person is merely ignorant when they say the US use of nuclear weapons against Japan was wrong, as opposed to those who are consciously virtue signalling, perhaps this will start to open their eyes. Shigeru Mizuki who died in 2015 was a manga artist and a Japanese patriot who had fought for his country, but he would not ignore, deny or excuse what his country had done. This short manga he did for Sixth Grader magazine is just one of many teaching the lessons of the past to future generations so that they would not commit the same crimes."
Foreign Correspondent Jacob N., Trapped in New York, sends: "NYC Mayor: tax the rich to subsidize public transit for the poor.
"This plan would extort $800 million from people making more than $500,000 a year, ostensibly to repair NYC's disastrously decrepit public transportation system, which at least seems to serve some useful purpose once you get past the whole extortion-at-government-gunpoint thing.
"Note this gem:
"'About $250 million would be used to subsidize half-price MetroCards for about 800,000 New Yorkers living in poverty.'
"So, let's analyze this plan. NYC will levy a huge new tax on the top earners in the city (who have shown no compunction against moving elsewhere to avoid NY's punitive taxation and regulation), ostensibly to repair and upgrade NYC's public transit, which admittedly is in awful shape (because of the government of NY's inability to manage it well), and then just under 1/3 of that money will be used to create a brand new entitlement program to give transit passes to the EBT swiping masses.
"And how long will only 1/3 of the money go to entitlements? How long will it be before all of it goes to the 'hands out, gimme free stuff' crowd?"
By which is meant, years ago I wrote: "...[O]ur mother-nation, the United States of America, had reached a point where more than half of all government spending was in entitlements, where there were more people living off other people's work than there were working for a living - and they all had votes. Naturally they voted for more and ever more of other people's money. Eventually the money ran out. The government printed more but the whole world knew it was worthless. The whole system collapsed...."
HEY QUICK WHAT'S GOOGLE'S MOTTO?
Aaaaaaaand Sweden. How's that restricted firearms ownership and unrestricted immigration working out for you?
Last week I said "No gun designed in the last hundred-plus years is likely to 'just go off' if dropped." I take it back. Although, the rest of my original observation stands.
Foreign Correspondent Jacob N., Trapped in New York, sends: "Star Trek-ish super fast wound healing device? Working on it." Faster please.
I hate this place so much.
I want to live somewhere like this.
But I still have no way to get there.
Hey remember when the political left was all about separation of church and state?
"Google CEO Mansplains That He Eliminated Diverse Thought ... To Protect Defenseless Women."
Don't Go to College, Chapter MMMMMCLXIV.
In support of which, "The University of Minnesota is standing behind a group of students who are openly discriminating based on race and sexual orientation"NO, REALLY.
Astute Observation o' the Day: "Journalism is about covering important stories. With a pillow, until they stop moving."
All that complaining about Old Media and the brainwashing entertainment industry and someone actually did something for the Cause.
Remember, peasant, private citizens using personal firearms to stop violent attacks is a fantasy that never happens. Think about the sick perverts who don't want you able to defend yourself.
More on holograms.
"Tolerant" and "inclusive"-fatigue....
Yesterday it was the University of Minnesota openly discriminating against people of a certain skin color and sexual orientation. Now it's Brandeis.
By which is followed 'Light-Skinned' Minorities Don't Belong in 'People Of Color' Safe Spaces.
Immigrants Contributing Massive Vote Fraud to Society....
...Aaaaand tuberculosis in your coffee also. It's not "racist" if it's true.
More Guns. Less Crime. Again. How do you anti-self-defense perverts explain that?
Likewise, some sparks of awareness in Europe. Which their "protectors" are busily stamping out....
Which segues to a First Amendment argument for open carry. Me, I'm an absolutist. I would only punish people for real crimes which they've actually committed, not made-up "laws" written by mentally-ill bigots who need drugs to get out of bed in the morning.
Ground regained on the Second Front in Occupied Colorado. I demand jail time or a noose for any hypocritical thief-with-a-badge who ever "confiscated" an "illegal" knife, and for any prosecutor-persecutor or unstable-freak-in-black-robes who upheld such bigotry.
I am in the process of scripting a new tutorial video, on the M1907-style loop sling as a shooting aid in formal competition, which is probably years overdue. Not this one. Now, in 3-Gun (or 2-Gun) racing, a sling can get in the way, but racing is not fighting and if we're gonna end up in the sticks doing that Red Dawn stuff when Massive Vote Fraudtm gets Maxine Waters into the White House, we're gonna need a way to carry those rifles.
"Would you rather have 'weapons of war' or agents of tyranny?"
Today is the anniversary of a great loss to the Cause, whose widow could still use some help.
Michael G. sends, "Anti-Trump activist kills Republican neighbor. But Republicans are the violent, dangerous ones!" I see just such violently-unhinged psychotic brainwashed bigots everywhere in this horrible place, in stores, on the bus, even in the workplace. Fantasizing about exterminating anyone who doesn't think exactly like them.
(I'm posting this partial blog entry before I leave for work this morning, in case one such bigot with initials JG snaps and murders me today. I want SMLE Fan, MidWestReader and Michael G. to come forward to split my DVD, video file, and firearm collections. One of you please adopt my delightfully fluffy cat. If I'm not attacked there should be an update about 5pm Pacific time, followed by the remainder of my daily entry by 8pm.)
(What kind of country do we live in, where such things aren't hyperbole?)
(Back to the hovel alive at about 17:30, after some issue, possibly sabotage, on the light-rail system.)
He then sends "Immigrants contributing to society: Islamic rapist gang busted in England, claiming 'White women are good for only one thing.'" "This is the seventh large scale sex gang scandal to hit the UK after infamous cases from towns including Rotherham, Rochdale, Oxford and Bristol" but the UK police arrest UK subjects if they object to their children being raped by the immigrants their own taxes have been propping up for years.
I repeat: Contributing. To Society.
Meanwhile in government school, your grades depend on your skin color.
DON'T. GO. TO COLLEGE.
WHERE GENOCIDE IS IN THE CURRICULUM AND
WHERE DUE PROCESS GOES TO DIE. "I personally offered on multiple occasions to meet with the University police and answer any questions they had, so long as I could have an attorney with me. I provided the number for my attorney and they chose not to contact her— a decision that still confuses me. It seems as though they were pursuing an arrest rather than the truth."
Uppity, again, in the Czech Republic. "Such a massive punishment of decent arms holders is unacceptable, because banning legally-held weapons has no connection with the fight against terrorism," Interior Minister Milan Chovanec said in a statement. And they make such nice guns there. With excellent craftsmanship.
To which dot connect some timely visual aids for the anti-self-defense perverts.
Hey, what if "green energy" really does lead to child slavery?
This is why I'm not a "real" libertarian. (Whatever that is.)
A while back I wrote: "Other nations didn't trust their people. Illyria, for example, denied the ownership and use of arms to most, reserving them for the government, and those privileged enough to buy permission. Knowledge of weapons was therefore rare among the people, leading to negligent injuries and deaths when weapons were encountered, reinforcing the various governments' lies that their people were not fit to be trusted with arms." And I was right, again.
Burn the entire educational system, from kindergarten to post-grad. Because they really believe Orwell was writing an instruction manual.
"[American Airlines] now insists on putting a bright, red tag on all checked luggage that contains guns." What could possibly go wrong?
From Michigan, advancing the Cause on the micro level. What have you done? Are you a member of, or at least signed up for email alerts from, your state's organization?
Michael G. sends, "WW2 vet returning captured enemy flag to family of soldier he took it from. Shows what Americans, and particularly American soldiers are like. As much as I like Japan and Japanese, can you picture a soldier of victorious Japan spending years trying to return a trophy taken from the body of a dead American to that American's family?"
Had a chance to watch Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2. Kiiiiiinda disappointed. Not necessarily in the film itself - high production values of course, but that's my complaint too: too many special effects, not enough story. Without the gratuitous space battles and Peckinpah-esque slow-motion fight scenes the whole plot woulda lasted maybe twenty minutes. (In fairness, a complaint others have also leveled against Episode IV: A New Hope.) The rest of my disappointment comes from people who would blow eight or ten or fifty bucks or whatever it costs nowadays and say "Hurr hurr, that movie wuz awsumm, hurr durr." Sigh. This, on the other hand, is a thing I can watch over and over, finding a new subtlety or nuance each time - in fact I'm on the fourth or fifth full-series rewatch now. Tells a good story. I guess I've read too much quality science fiction to find the over-budget mass-market stuff appealing anymore.
Tomorrow I've been invited to the Chet Plotner (now Memorial) precision rifle match at Clark Rifles. I have not been practicing, because my last car died in November (see next paragraph). Years ago I acquired a postwar commercial-built, possibly Spanish, '98 Mauser-based sporting bolt-action rifle in .308 Winchester, to which I later mounted an old Tasco 2.5-10x44mm scope, a Fajen synthetic aftermarket stock, and a Bold aftermarket trigger. I used it for a while, shot at least one match with it (probably a previous year's Plotner)... and haven't fired it for years. Today I whipped up 116 rounds of handloads, 46.0 (or perhaps 45.9)gr Hodgdon BL-C(2), the same Hornady #3037 150gr FMJBT I've been using in The Queen for years, CAVIM Venezuelan military brass, Winchester standard primer, and a Lee Factory Crimp Die (collet style) at the end. I have no idea what the point of impact with those is going to be, so I'll have to hastily sight in before shooting for score - to say nothing of adjusting for drop at different distances, which in a proper world I would have been making notes for with regular range sessions long ago: The course of fire will be 30 rounds for score plus sighters, 10 each at 100, 200 and 300 yards, all from prone, all slow-fire at up to one minute per shot. Now I have to dig out the rifle, dust it off, run a patch down the bore, take a lens pen to the scope, install a sling, get a little dry-practice, and so on. (Had a bad moment when, test-sighting with my too-many-years-old glasses on my aging eyes, neither crosshair nor target was in focus through the scope. Fortunately this model of Tasco, found on sumd00d's table at a show, has a focusing ring, which actually works. Whew! Another option was to use my one-and-only complete and functional AR, but the sight radius is far too short for me to focus on the front sight and the only optic I have for it is a no-magnification 4MOA red dot, which Just Wouldn't Do at a sixth of a mile. A third option would have been The Queen herself, whose sight radius is (barely) long enough to focus on the front sight, but I wanted to get that scoped Mauser speaking again.)
Speaking of quality science fiction (and fantasy), finished Heinlein's Assignment in Eternity, at least part of which was a re-read. Having not yet copied the Correia to my laptop (donated three years ago by Michael G. and used to write, during breaks at work, the last several parts of Aurora), I began perhaps the only significant Heinlein I hadn't yet read: Job: A Comedy of Justice. Got about halfway through before the parallels to my own life - the Next Thing Going Horribly and Expensively Wrong, the Goal in Sight Snatched Cruelly Away, the Treasured Possession Stolen and/or Destroyed - depressed me, so I finally began Correia, et. al.'s Monster Hunter Files. One entry could be tied in with The Rats of NIMH, with not much editorial effort, and was probably intended as an homage. Which also reminds me of H. Beam Piper's original Little Fuzzy and the subplot device of making miniature weapons for miniature people.
Continental suicide. And the Americans will be expected to rescue them again.
Michael G. sends, "Horrors! Trump EPA head 'secretly' doing exactly what he said he would! Pruitt is apparently too effective at doing exactly what he said he would do, so the MSM is accusing him of doing it 'secretly'." Somebody once said that when sailing ships first reached the New World, the injuns couldn't see them - their brains couldn't register the sight because it was too strange and too far outside their experience. Old Media has been so crooked for so long, they can't imagine anyone being straight.
Show and chat every Sunday 1100 Pacific Time.
Well that was disappointing. I don't know what went wrong - something came loose, my handloads were crap, I was flinching, I can't tell. I started out on the paper, was making some hits with guesstimated elevation adjustments on the Tasco, but the adjustments weren't repeatable, or I was doing something wrong, or something else went wrong, and I didn't even try shooting for score. Also the scope was smacking me in the eyeglasses because my position was wrong. Got some good pics for the club newsletter though. And, I know I can't count on that rifle without a lot more work. Which, without a car and, since I can't stand that parking-cars-with-convicts job anymore, no income either now, I can't do anything about. Yeah I got yer Job: A Comedy of Justice right here. WTF was I in a past life, a guard at Dachau?
So, there was some kind of "white nationalist" rally back east. Riiiiiight. "...[N]o matter how far leftists go they will not be blamed." "[W]hile the cops did nothing." Ambivalence; this is exactly the kind of backlash we've been predicting, after eight years of outright official racism as national policy - a reasonable person really has to ask questions. La Raza saying "White people, it is your duty to die". Black Lives Matter saying black paramedics should refuse to treat white accident victims. And they wonder why whites are rallying and organizing? MY SKIN COLOR DIDN'T START THIS WAR.
The other day I was complaining about over-budget special-effects SJW crap being pumped out of the modern entertainment industry. Somehow I stumbled across this old and short-lived TV series, which can be found on YouTube. Only watched the first couple episodes as of this posting, but it's quality, in my opinion. Remember there are multiple options - mostly as plugins to the Firefox browser - for capturing video from YouTube and many other sources, for later viewing at leisure. Also, if you're fortunate enough to have escaped the Gatesian horrors of Windows for the stability and not-spying-on-you-ness of Linux, there are free applications like Brasero and DeVeDe which allow you to take those computer video files, or similar files off your digital cameras, and make playable DVDs from them.
White Republican NRA member murders gay manNOPE

Anti-self-defense activist murdered without a gun. And how is that my fault?

But we get blamed and punished for everyone else's crimes, AGAIN.
But we get blamed and punished for everyone else's crimes, AGAIN.
Hey! What if it really was one of theirs, not one of ours, AGAIN?
I got yer "moral equivalence" right here.
Michael G. observes, "When Sharpton is the voice of reason and moderation, opposites day has reached a new level."
It's not My Side - or the thugs being painted as "my side" - assaulting journalists.
Nor is it My Side trying to erase history. Which the Prophet Kipling warned us about....
And yes, Fudd, they're after granpa's thutty-thutty too. Just like we told you all along, while you voted to ban our "mankillers".
Yeah. Like that.
And don't go to college either.
GOVERNMENT "HEALTH" "CARE" and the only solution they ever come up with is to rob more people at government gunpoint to pay for more of the same.
This cartoon is meant to illustrate how North Korea's nuclear weapons and ballistic missile programs were kickstarted by technology transfers and a bunch of American tax dollars, during the Clinton regime. Try to explain that to a Hillary voter and they'll become violent, because it was so thoroughly swept under the Old Media rug and they don't WANT to know.
"Protect and Serve" WHO?
Blood libel o' the day....
Psychological projection o' the day....
Just yesterday I was giving an example of "moral equivalence" and now Michael G. sends, "Georgia Democrat: Scrape Stone Mountain clean. And they compare us to ISIS and the Taliban."
From the sidebar of that article, Trump Says Better Jobs and Wages Will Heal American Race Relations. I see the point, and in a sane world it would be a valid one... but that's not the world we live in. One side of this national divide doesn't want to work for a living.
Just the other day, libertarian author Sarah Hoyt warned they'd be coming for Washington next. About two decades ago I wrote, "We owe our existence as a Constitutional Republic - what's left of it - to Thomas Jefferson. How long would the United States have lasted without his contributions to the Constitution and Bill of Rights? Should we burn the Library of Congress because it was founded by that slaveholder? Most of Jefferson's contemporaries owned slaves - Washington, for example. Should we rename the nation's capitol? Tear down a few monuments? Give Yorktown back to the British? Or should we get the hell over it?"
And now communicating clearly with proper and correct use of language is "raaaaaacist"? Michael G. comments, "I know, we could get a government agency to create a new, approved, non-racist language that everyone will have to use and call it 'Newspeak'!"
And lest that be seen as hyperbole, a long time ago this line from Schindler's List leapt out at me enough to make a screenshot:
Yeah. Like this.
This is why I voted for Gary Johnson in 2008.
And how is any of that my fault?
Michael G. sends a backfiring boycott.
Now I'm starting another
Pro: Fewer convicts and other assorted thugs and bigots.
Con: Half as many paid hours,
and probably not a regular carpool,
so spending up to $5 a day on transit fare.
Every time I try to get ahead I only fall further behind.
Every time I try to climb out of the hole, it just gets deeper.
At this rate my next stop will be
standing at a freeway onramp with a cardboard sign.
And I'm still surrounded by people who hate me and want me to die,
with nowhere to go and no way to get there.
Everything is getting worse all the time.
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals steal and kill a little girl's pet chihuahua.
So the other day Michael G. made a reference to Orwellian Newspeak and as if on cue.
And lest that be seen as hyperbole.
Big-Name Republicans Defend the Violent Left. The palms are insufficient to the face.
Lemme get this straight: Zuckerberg's Facebook arbitrarily shuts down patriotic American pages, YouTube launches a new wave of censorbots, but these guys get to call for the murder of all Jews and their pages stay up? In the names of "tolerance" and "diversity"?
White teens bludgeon black man to death with hammers in FergusonNOPE
"For the record, 11 [or so] states have permitless-carry laws, and gun violence has not exploded in those states — in fact they have some of the best gun-violence statistics in the country. So much for danger."
Codrea's Law states, "Anyone who can't be trusted with a gun can't be trusted without a custodian." The opposite is obviously and necessarily true.
Ground regained on the Second Front in Illinois-of-all-places and as always, I demand jail time or a noose for any hypocritical thief-with-a-badge who ever "confiscated" an "illegal" knife, and for any prosecutor-persecutor or unstable-freak-in-black-robes who upheld such bigotry.
I must continue repeating my appeal.

To which dot connect, Michael G. sends, "...SJWs harping on white people all the time... tends to manufacture more supremacists, not less...."
Aaaaand Unhinged Bigot for President.
For years I've been following Action Figure Therapy on YouTube, and the Terminal Lance webcomic. In the last couple days both have turned SJW, condemning Trump for condemning all racist-supremacists instead of just the white ones. Lemme get that straight- Trump condemns white racists in the same breath as brown or black racists, and white guys, whom the brown and black supremacists in their own words want to murder, condemn the man who condemns the racists who want to murder them.
This morning as I was waiting for a bus to work, a brown-skinned fellow came by at his own job, running a gas-powered edger along the sidewalk in front of a business. One of those steel-blade types. And I couldn't help wondering, with all the white-hatred pouring out of Old Media and some of the new, if he was thinking of turning the thing on me. Sudden Social Justice Syndrome. Sudden Reparations. Por La Raza!
While on the other end of the equation, ever more slander, libel, bigotry, lies, and calls for violence.
And the walls keep closing in.
Michael G. sends, "Another source that 'Unite the Right' organizer was extreme progressive until recently. I wish Vanderboegh was still alive. As a convert himself HE could have spotted if this guy was genuine or an agent provocateur."
Michael G. sends Sessions ends Operation Choke Point. Okay, that sounds good, but how many times does this program have to be "ended"?
I wish to acquire this very particular gas block:
It is used by Windham Weaponry on some of their barrels, uppers, and complete rifles. They have told me it is not available separately.
This gas block has:
a Picatinny rail at the SAME HEIGHT as the upper receiver rail;
and a bayonet lug;
and a conventional sling swivel;
and it is pinned to the barrel instead of using set- or clamp-screws.
If you have one, for example taken off a Windham rifle which has been reconfigured, I WILL PAY MONEY FOR IT. Please contact me by clicking "comment" below.
