RIFLEMAN'S JOURNAL - JUNE 2014
The World Sucks
In the news, Mars Incorporated, makers of M&Ms, joins the bandwagon of bigotry and then lies about it.
It's not paranoia if they really are openly calling for a deliberate propaganda campaign to destroy a natural human right.
It's not paranoia if this is their idea of "mental health reform". Which we have seen before.
Foreign Correspondent Jacob N., Trapped in New York, sends Middle School Teacher Suspended For Showing Video About White Actors Wearing Blackface, observing, "So teaching about real, historical racism is racist, because, you know, people might come to the conclusion that there is less racism now than there was 100 years ago, and that would be racist because everyone knows that racism is behind all problems (and legal gun owners, who are usually racists, too)."
And as if on cue.
I told you they want to hurt people and now they admit it in their own words.
IT WILL ALL COME CRASHING DOWN AND HOW IS THAT MY FAULT?

Hmm, contrasting recent stories of Chipotle restaurants discriminating against innocent citizens, one Chipotle kicks out the thugs who are really uncivilized.
Prohibition continues to weaken. -I never used the stuff in my life. It's the murderous monsters enforcing the prohibition I object to. Prohibition is inevitably more evil than whatever it tries to prohibit. Prohibition attracts monsters, on both sides of the "law". Leave people alone.
In my fictional utopia I postulate a whole industry for gathering and transporting water for fuel and life support. FASTER PLEASE

My positions still need work. I creep my face up the stock and the receiver bops me in the mouth on recoil, which is detrimental to accuracy at least two ways - the obvious, and the closer I get my eye to the aperture the larger, and therefore less precise, it appears. I need another Appleseed, $igh. Although, I did better than expected in rapid-prone (alas I couldn't get target photos so I don't know where I was pulling those sevens), and quite adequate in slow-standing for having dived back into Garand matches cold after more than half a year.
It's not paranoia if they really do fantasize about murdering us.
It's not paranoia if they really are trying to brand us all "insane".
As if there weren't enough hypocrisy and elitism from our "protectors".
"...[T]he only war Obama is interested in winning is the one against our economy." It's not paranoia if they really do want us to freeze to death in the dark.
"...[W]e all know that this president behaves in an unlawful manner. In this case he explicitly admitted that he did this, didn’t follow the law...."
Michael G. sends: "...[I]magine how South Africans would respond if an unelected agency issued a history of their country that contained just one reference to Nelson Mandela." DON'T GO TO COLLEGE
I got yer "war on women" right here.
It's past time people started resisting the war on men.
And they call us "racist", Chapter MMMMI.
Timely Visual Aid.
Workman has more on Mars Inc./M&Ms discriminating against a civil rights organization. (Also, WoGged again.)
Correia gets out his knives again, but this is in Suckage because the enemy really believes their own delusions. They are exactly the same kind of "minds" who were not only capable of, but actually committed genocide several times in the last century. "You’ve drawn battle lines and then done everything possible to damage the careers of anybody who believes differently than you."
A product endorsement by the National Tactical Officers Association tells me what not to buy. Don't give your money to Quislings.
Speaking of Quislings, Colt's Patent Firearm Mfg. Co. has been them and probably still are. Aside from their prices rising as their quality falls.
"One such effort, the Democrats suggest, would be to empower police to seek warrants to seize firearms from those they believe might use them to harm themselves or others." Maybe if you thugs would stop robbing us at gunpoint, kicking down the wrong doors, assaulting innocent students in wheelchairs, brutally gang-raping innocent human beings, shooting puppies and stomping kittens and electrocuting grandmothers and terrorizing toddlers (when you're not also raping them or setting them on fire), and a thousand other things you do every day which you would kidnap or murder any of us for doing - maybe if you thugs stopped doing all that, we wouldn't feel like executing you in righteous self-defense.
Police are what they claim to be "protecting" us from. POLICE SHOULD NOT EXIST. POLICE SHOULD NEVER HAVE EXISTED.

AR magazine Science. I have a few STANAGs of various makes, some used, some new, and several new-when-I-got-them PMAGs. The latter, and a couple 10-round STANAG-type, are the only magazines I've used in Precious so far. I've had no magazine-related issues to date.
THEY ARE ALL SO F***ING IGNORANT o' the Day.
Prohibition continues to weaken. When do we start prosecuting the thieves, kidnappers and murderers who've been enforcing it?
DON'T GO TO COLLEGE but if you do, join this group. Because they want you to live.

It's not paranoia if they really are openly threatening to murder us.
It's not paranoia if there really is a slippery slope.
Remember the Tuskegee Experiment? Remember the National Socialist concentration camp experiments? It's not paranoia if this government is doing the same kind of thing right now. They don't see us as human beings.
IT'S NOT PARANOIA IF THEY REALLY ARE OUT TO GET YOU.
Apparently Sonic Restaurants have also shown signs of discrimination. Knoxville GRE Liston Matthews investigates. Meanwhile Chili's does discriminate - at least a little.
Speaking of discrimination, Michael G. sends the media ignores it. Because, of course, they're for it. (Though Fox actually has an article, by Emily Miller.) -I'm reminded of reports of Republican or conservative-leaning car dealerships being screwed during the Cash-for-Clunkers scam-at-implied-gunpoint. Did any of those dealerships, of any kind, ever get the money they were promised? Or has Old Media decided we don't need to know that either?
Speaking of Old Media. Let us repeat: "...[T]he NRA didn’t kill young Chris. Elliott Rodger did."
Religious persecution in Occupied Connecticut.
Correia has more knives. "Demonstrating that bias exists in a biased system: DIVISIVE. Attacking, libeling, and sabotaging authors of diverse opinions to intimidate them into never speaking up against a rigid, homogenous groupthink... NOT DIVISIVE. Got it!"
BURN THE SCHOOLS you can't "reform" a system whose purpose is to destroy minds.
We're not the ones trying to start the race war.
Col. Kratman continues to examine Afghanistan. 'T'ain't pretty.
Thought Exercise o' the Day. It is as though it were on purpose.
"Treason against the United States shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort."

Improvement in Florida. Increments.
New shotshell caddy, hmm. I suppose it can have legitimate field applications but - I haven't seen the video yet, I email links to myself so I can capture them with Other People's Bandwidth - it doesn't look like it's for racing.
Ai can haz moar faymuss.
Speaking of faymuss, Garand match video! By someone with greater editing skills than my own.
Speaking of Garands, here's John Cantius Garand speaking at the Springfield Armory and holding M1 Rifle #3,000,000 in his hands.
Speaking of rifles, Oleg Volk examines bullpups. -The RDB is still vaporware, like many Kel-Tec products, and the Tavor is prohibitively expensive. $igh, another product for my lottery-fantasy CNC factory to introduce....
Order your Genuine Original Waky Uppy Kitty today! OPERATORS AND PARAMEDICS ARE STANDING BY!!!
It's not paranoia if they really are endlessly fabricating new excuses to steal our property and render us defenseless.
We are the Jews of the 21st Century.
It's not paranoia if they really are setting us up for genocide.
You wanna know what's wrong with America? This right here is what's wrong with America: "...[S]uspended anti-gun State Sen. Leland Yee – indicted more than two months ago on money laundering and weapons charges – pulled down more than 287,500 votes to take third place in yesterday’s Secretary of State primary, and he hasn’t been in the race since March." Also connect dots.
RACE WAR. WE'RE NOT THE ONES TRYING TO START IT.
Michael G. sends heresy on campus. “Students, or faculty for that matter, are not going to have the type of tactical training that law enforcement has....” Considering all the wrong doors kicked in, the puppies shot, the babies incinerated- YOU SAY THAT LIKE IT'S A BAD THING.

So I'm rummaging through my range bags and sorting rounds for upcoming matches. I have a bunch of mostly-Federal 55gr .223/5.56 and I'm trying to sort it by headstamp - "five-dot", "three-dot", "no-dot", the indentations made by the machinery. Much of it is now loose, from opening boxes and emptying magazines. So I get a bunch of that sorted and then I open a still-factory-sealed black box of AE223J and what do I find?
All three headstamp variations in the same factory-sealed box. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?
Hypocrisy and bigotry, Chapter MMMMIV.
It's not paranoia if they really are using the force of "law" to suppress political dissent. -Whatever happened to "Dissent is Patriotic"?
Yeah this happened: '“Shut up,” [Star Trek writer David] Gerrold explained....'
Michael G. sends more campus persecution.
So, Obama trades five actual terrorists for one what-appears-to-be deserter and willing defector; people who actually knew the soldier object; and the administration's response is to slander all the soldiers who didn't walk off their post in the face of the enemy to join the enemy. HOW IS THAT NOT TREASON?
And how is this not potentially-violent psychosis? It's not paranoia if they really are crazy enough to murder us all.
They keep trying it their way and it keeps not working. -Not wholly Lighter; eventually they are going to send thugs to rob and murder us, and we will have to defend ourselves.
All we ever wanted was to be left alone.

Finally Sansa Stark grows a spine.
George R. R. Martin is a d*** though.
There are other badass anniversaries on or near this day, but the most commonly-remembered is the full package of badassery. BEST. MEN. EVER.
"Barack Obama has gone to Normandy, not to honor those heroes, but for another photo-op."
Codrea investigates the pistol found at a Target store. -Back during the Clinton regime I was hearing stories of anti-self-defense activists slipping live rounds into arms at our shows.
It's not paranoia if they really are.
"RACIST"
Three words no one on their side are capable of saying: GUN FREE ZONE.
Evil or Stupid? WHY NOT BOTH?
The Problem, Illustrated.
Remember how the National Socialists encouraged children to denounce their own parents? If you're not terrified you're not paying attention.
I often find an excuse to link this screenshot from one of my favorite movies, Back to Bataan, featuring the purest distilled essence of guerilla warfare in seven gloriously unapologetic words. THIS IS WHAT I MEAN.
"Government is the creation of man. Ours was meant to secure the blessings of Liberty. It was never intended to be a destructive monster spreading fear and death among the people."
But they don't trust us.

Knoxville GRE Liston Matthews Examines Appleseed. There are so many reasons to go....
Vanderboegh has AR maintenance with more tips in comments. I ended up with a full case of steel-case Wolf 62gr for my chrome-lined 1:7" mid-length 16" and I just now checked it again - a 'fridge magnet clings to the case but not the projectile. So it probably won't damage my bore any more than conventional rounds would. Also, if the accuracy (which I still need to do Science upon) proves adequate it should be allowed on the long-range reactive steel targets at the small local 3-Gun matches I attend.
I call it Lighter: "If child kidnapping had a high risk of a nearly immediate beating and/or being shot it probably would reduce the incidence more than the threat of an arrest, prison sentence and/or GPS tracking device." In my fictional utopia I have that covered.

Fusion power. Still working on it.

ZZZ I was intending to attend the Politically Incorrect Gun highpower rifle match this weekend but it appears to have been cancelled. Fine, Shambling Wrecktm is out of fuel anyway. I also have Monday off and hopefully I'll generate gumption during the weekend to make more cartridges dammit. ...Got over 200 pieces of '06 sized, which will need some hours of tumbling. I have just over 200 pieces of Hornady #3037 to put in them. Primers and powder I have... enough... of for this Batch, which should carry me through this year's season for Garand-and-comparable matches. I need to dust off la Infanta, my scoped .308 commercial Mauser. There are several reasons I should do so, but I can't afford fuel to drive to the range and components to develop loads with. $IGH
GUN FREE ZONE. It is as though it were on purpose. '“This is a one party city,” [KIRO radio host Don] Monson observed. “Your party, Ed Murray, created what our city is; created the culture you are now railing against. It’s incredible to listen to this nonsense.”'
Remember those Korean Garands and Carbines? Having trouble finding or keeping a job? One... "man"... is responsible for both those things. At the same time.
THE SCHOOLS. BURN THEM.
Visual Aid o' the Day. (Except for the heretical FLGR, contrary to the Gospel of Saint John. When I got my Philippine it came with one and I replaced it with the original style before I ever fired it.)
[thought=notrandomatall] What's the difference between a "sportsman"'s deer rifle, or a duck hunter's shotgun, and an eee-vill-sniper-street-sweeper-death-weapon-of-killing? One legislative session. Wake the f*** up, Fudds.
"What the HELL does a President have to do to be impeached??"
How can this not be on purpose?
You know how the anti-self-defense perverts often say our little popguns will be no match for the might of the federal government's military? THE TROOPS GET A VOTE TOO.
They can't have no idea. I'm reminded of Col. Cooper's wisdom: "It is interesting to hear certain kinds of people insist that the citizen cannot fight the government. This would have been news to the men of Lexington and Concord, as well as the Mujahedeen in Afghanistan. [By which, for those of you who learned "history" in government schools, he means these guys. Whose sons we're fighting today.] The citizen most certainly can fight the government, and usually wins when he tries. Organized national armies are useful primarily for fighting against other organized national armies. When they try to fight against the people, they find themselves at a very serious disadvantage. If you will just look around at the state of the world today, you will see that the guerillero has the upper hand. Irregulars usually defeat regulars, providing they have the will. Such fighting is horrible to contemplate, but will continue to dominate brute strength."
Badasses. Immortal.

Last night I watched Knights of Badassdom. Eh. I never have been much for comedies. Also, not enough Summer Glau. But it looks like they had fun making it.

"It is plain to see the pattern of behavior of Obama and his minions. They protect Obama and further their agenda at any and all cost while engaging in maximum exploitation of his skin color for perfect political cover. Therefore, because Obama is black, Americans suffer and die."
A concerted and deliberate effort to misinform everyone about everything.
BURN THE SCHOOLS 'Don't forget that, according to the FBI businesses should already report you as a suspected "domestic terrorist" if you do such innocuous things as pay with cash, buy MREs, get the same tattoo your friends have, talk about your constitutionally protected rights, or even park in the "wrong" parking space at a hotel or motel.' I know what real "domestic terrorists" look like.
IMMORTAL BADASSES.

Finished The Sea Without a Shore, tenth in David Drake's RCN series. Very tasty. He could end the story cleanly enough there if he wanted to but I hope he doesn't. Beginning Treasure Planet, a full novel in the Man-Kzin Wars series of Niven's Known Space, by Hal Colebatch and Jessica Q. Fox. I've read other work in the series by Colebatch and I expect it to be tasty as well. Poking around the internets I see there are at least two more books in Ringo's zombie apocalypse series: Islands of Rage and Hope, which I already have in my hold queue; and Strands of Sorrow. Drake has more in his General series, The Savior, which I also have on hold - that's the second book in the third world visited in the series so far. In the 1632verse I also have Commander Cantrell in the West Indies on hold, and I see 1636: The Viennese Waltz listed on Amazon. Like a Mighty Army is Weber's latest Safehold volume, and A Call to Duty is the next Honorverse (in the prequel series). Kratman's next Carrera, The Rods and the Axe, is also on hold. As previously mentioned, I already have Correia's Swords of Exodus and Monster Hunter: Nemesis in ebook.
"There’s much that does not add up to the narrative portrayal being formed...." Like usual. -Note also: 'When they killed the two officers yesterday, the Millers reportedly took their sidearms and spare ammunition. This is the kind of “transfer” that does not involve a "universal background check" because it occurred in the course of a felony crime.' Never mind whatever the circumstances turn out to be, never mind how unsympathetic (or fabricated...) this perpetrator is- take notes. And prepare.
It's not paranoia if they really are formulating excuses for genocide.
And that's not hyperbole if Obama’s Science Czar Really Has Considered Forced Abortions, Sterilization as Population Growth Solutions.
Calling it totalitarianism isn't hyperbole either.
A long time ago I made this bumper sticker: AND I WAS RIGHT, AGAIN.

As long as I'm doing visual aids, here's your "Moral Equivalence" o' the Day.
Foreign Correspondent Jacob N., Trapped in new York, sends the RAAAYYYYYYYcism o' the Day, observing: "It's racism! The study is racist! RACISM!!!!! Heads will roll, I tell you. Or since it came out of a bastion of leftism, it will be suppressed in 3... 2..." I'm reminded of a chapter in Larry Elder's book, in which he presented evidence that blacks are more racist than whites. (-I notice he's back on the air now. Maybe I should fix Shambling Wrecktm's radio.)
How do these monsters live with themselves? "I stand behind what our team did"? The entire department belongs in cages for the next twenty years and the violent sociopath who threw a grenade at a baby deserves to be institutionalized for life or publicly executed for attempted murder.
"Parents will die to protect their children... but would prefer to kill for them."
Handgun training.
Rifle training.
Ammunition too.
My lottery fantasy consists of a dozen or so of these. My shop would be able to make anything.
Including components for my other lottery fantasy, direct head-on competition for SpaceX. F*** NASA I'll go to Mars.
And I'll plant a f***ing Gadsden.
Heh, The Sea Without a Shore had as one of a few plots a search for buried treasure. Treasure Planet, as its title and cover art suggest, is a retelling of the classic Treasure Island, the '50s film version of which I rewatched not so long ago. I already had a notion for my own story along similar lines.
“If the media wishes to make the ‘Bundy connection’ with that set of facts, they are simply parroting a regime narrative absent reality.”
It's not paranoia if they're blaming us for everything.
IT'S NOT PARANOIA IF THEY REALLY DO WANT TO EXTERMINATE US.
Speaking of the narrative. ALL SO F***ING IGNORANT
"...[R]ailing against the very idea of women learning to defend themselves" and they call us "evil". Larry Correia also fisks.
GUN. FREE. ZONE. We've tried it their way and it doesn't work.
It's not paranoia if the government really is acting like Big Brother.
Not unrelated, Col. Kratman observes more military mucking-up. It's not the troops' fault....
As if we didn't have enough from the Enemies Domestic.
BURN THE SCHOOLS never mind, too late.
IF THEY WEREN'T ALL LIKE THAT THEY'D BE SHOOTING EACH OTHER.
It's not paranoia if Obama really is looking for ways to unilaterally impose more oppressive gun regulation, by executive fiat.
"The Gun Free School Zones Act of 1994 made it illegal to carry guns onto school campuses. This law did not prevent the tragedies at Columbine (Colorado), Thurston (Oregon), Pearl (Mississippi), Foss (Washington), Red Lake (Minnesota) or yesterday’s shooting at Reynolds. Nor did gun prohibitions prevent attacks at Virginia Tech, Northern Illinois and last week at Seattle Pacific University." We've tried it their way and it doesn't work. It is as though it were on purpose.
Speaking of their way, infant mortality in Detroit now higher than China, Mexico, Thailand. And who's been running that city for the last six decades?
Self-Destructive Jews o' the Day. Lemme get this straight - the Holocaust was perpetrated by government forces with guns, so you want to make sure the only people with guns are government forces?
It's not paranoia if there really is a concerted and deliberate effort to dehumanize us as a precursor to genocide.
"Treason against the United States shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort." Hey, entertainment industry- here's an idea for a TV series. One citation per episode. You oughta get twenty seasons out of it.
A fallen hero's family needs help.
More data on the handgun found at the Target store. -And what is this "unlawful carrying of a handgun" crap? THE "LAWS" ARE WRONG. If the suspect doesn't have all his rights back, why is he out? And if he's out, why doesn't he have all his rights back?
"WE DON'T SERVE YOUR KIND HERE." Who's a bigot?
Yeah here's a bigot right here. NO. Now what?
Speaking of, Michael G. sends NBC's Lisa Bloom doesn't want whites to serve on juries. AND THEY CALL US "RACIST".
Even Old Media isn't swallowing the lies anymore. (And Dave Workman continues trying to scrub the Neville Chamberlain off Alan Gottlieb....)
Remember the thing with FDA banning traditional cheese? They appear to have broken the law doing it - and they would have gotten away with it if no one but us peasants objected.

Again they fantasize about exterminating us with nuclear weapons.
Dancing in the blood of a GUN FREE ZONE, right on schedule. It is as though it were on purpose.
Michael G. sends Visual Aid. Not a safe place.
And it's not paranoia if they really are using the exact same rhetoric the National Socialists were using against the Jews seventy years ago.

CMP Garands at Clark Rifles, long Course B, 5 sighters and 50 for score.
Sigh. See, they give out these pins for certain scores and I want one several. I had some scores that would have earned them, before they started issuing them. Can't afford to practice enough to raise my skill back to that level. And I probably can't find components even if I had the money.
For reference, here's what the SR target looks like through a 32x spotting scope:
And here's a little perspective:
At 200 yards, the black part is a little smaller than the width of the M1 Rifle's standard front sight.
Anyway, with the ammunition I slapped together last night, I actually started in the black in slow-prone, though I let some out during the stage. 25 rounds in 25 minutes, worst five discarded as sighters:
Rapid-prone was actually quite good and the Bronze pin was within reach, percentage-wise:
But then I blew rapid-sitting, jerking one round off the right edge of the paper:
(Note the double strike:)
And after that, not even a perfect score in slow-standing would have closed the gap:
Sigh. Probably 8th or 9th of 11, official results to follow.
But at least I went shooting.
Michael G. sends the Tolerant Inclusiveness o' the Day. Just another point on the graph racing toward genocide.

Among the many reasons to hate Microsoft, they're also bigots. Linux is looking better all the time. And yes, you can get all your traditional applications free too - the Ubuntu package I selected years ago came with LibreOffice, which is the Linux spinoff of OpenOffice, which does just about everything MSOffice does, as far as I can tell, including output in the traditional MS formats. About the only thing Linux can't do reliably is run high-end games, and there are Windows emulators and a robust community of tinkerers attacking that problem.
I call it Lighter because Prohibition Will FAIL
A while back I hoped SpaceX would inspire a hundred competitors. FASTER PLEASE -I'm also reminded of the saw about how capitalists will sell communists the rope to hang us with. How about, communists will fund our means of escaping from them?
FOR THE RECORD
It's not paranoia if we really are targets of an official smear campaign. You may sneer when I keep warning you of these precursors to genocide... right up until they're shoving you into the cattle cars.
Unless of course you're the government thugs I know lurk here (because I get drunken subliterate hate mail once in a while), who are looking forward to doing the shoving.
And you MONSTERS think YOU'RE the GOOD guys?
'Instantly, the murderous young psychopath is absolved of all guilt. It's not his fault--the "lax gun regulation" made him do it....'

Okeh so a while back Elon Musk displayed ideological impurity by using government to force people to buy his electric cars. But it cannot be denied that, on balance, he is making things better for humanity.
Now we need a hundred competitors.

Nearing the end of Colebatch & Fox's Treasure Planet. -Couple nits to pick, not least the cover art; Kzin have "pink parasol" ears, not furry ones like Terran cats; also four-fingered hands, not five, hence their base-eight math which is omitted in the story. But: It's a good story, well told.
'...[D]ocumented accounts of police in years past illegally harassing, bullying, drawing guns on and endangering the lives of citizens who weren’t breaking any laws, and of current police officers contemptuously “joking” about “double tapping” citizens openly carrying firearms.... If something bad now happens, [Ohio Attorney General Mike] DeWine won’t be able to say he had no idea.' And why should we not view ALL police as potential MURDERERS? ARE THEY NOT TO BE TAKEN AT THEIR OWN WORDS?
Not unrelated, discrimination against natural, Constitutionally-enumerated human rights in Florida.
Speaking of discrimination, punished for defending his own life.
More data on the Abramski "ruling". '...[T]here is no real difference between that question, and a demand--backed up by federal law, and enforced with the full power of the U.S. government--that the purchaser answer whether he or she is a "Jew or Not a Jew." And now, the Supreme Court has ruled that this is just fine." It's not Godwin to observe that Hitler's courts said everything he did was "just fine" too. Don't fill out a Form 4473. Those things will get you killed.
Continuing the theme, "...[O]penly advocated exploiting the public's ignorance about the difference between fully-automatic and semi-automatic firearms...." And where have we seen that tactic before? "Orwell might have been an optimist."
"...[R]efused the idea that there is a right to have arms for self-defense and furthermore rejected any concept of self-defense as a human right." That sort of thing is why the UN is the villain in my own story.
Michael G. sends, the schools have been in need of burning for decades.
Speaking of (government) schools, if you love your children, get them out. No one there cares if they're murdered. "When schools block access to information they consider politically incorrect, that doesn’t need to be investigated, it needs to be immediately stopped."
Sooo... in their world, teaching women to shoot rapists is "pro-rape"? "...[I]t is hard to throw chickenshit allegations about somebody when you link to what they actually said. ...[I]t isn’t my side trying to silence the opposition."
Freezing to death in the dark. Except them.
"...[Y]ou wake up thinking things could not be any worse... but they are."
"...Councilman Zack Reed’s third DUI, or (former) Councilman Eugene Miller’s similar charge with a speeding add-on, or the Cleveland City Council contractor who was arrested on child sex charges while on probation for a previous sex conviction, or...." But THEY don't trust US.
"...[H]igh profile mass shootings... would not have been prevented by the measures they claim these shootings prove the need for."
Because that's not what the prohibitions are for.
"...[T]he Patent Office is now putting themselves in the business of regulating free speech...." Does that seem right to you?
Related, Michael G. observes "The press is free to print what the Clintons want them to print."
Also related, as already observed yesterday: "...[A] Connecticut school district’s filtering system was blocking access to websites belonging to firearms rights advocacy groups, while allowing access to gun control organizations in what appears to be a clear violation of the First Amendment." Because they're tolerant and inclusive?
"Sociopaths exist, and must be treated as such." And the real sociopaths think we're the ones who need "treatment"?
(I got yer "treatment" right here....)
Dehumanizing an opponent is a precursor to genocide. And the latter-day Einsatzgruppen are already in place.
Another increment in Florida.
Finished Treasure Planet, which became rather slow at the end but remains a good story. Now beginning, with a bit of ugh, Weber's latest Safehold, Like a Mighty Army. Which I expect won't be nearly as much fun to read.
I should be at an Appleseed today, repairing my skills, but I can't afford it.
$igh.
Remember, peasant, DEMOCRATS ARE THE PARTY OF THE LITTLE PEOPLE.
"...Feminism, Inc., doesn’t have enough job openings for all the Women’s Studies majors who would like to become full-time professional Marxist lesbian man-haters."

"WAR ON" WHO?
YEAH I KNOW WHO.
Speaking of warfare, demographic and biological. Isn't there something in the rules about that?

Michael G. observes the process is the punishment. Work within the system?
THIS SYSTEM RIGHT HERE? The Unstable Freak in Black Robes o' the Day.
"Every top manager of the Department of Veterans Affairs received a positive performance evaluation for the past four years, and 78 percent got a bonus in 2013" while letting their patients DIE.
"I’m serious about your keeping any identifying information out of the media. Things are very, very bad."
"The happenings of the last six years under ANY other president would have sparked a violent revolution."
...But if we can survive long enough, FABBERS will CHANGE the WORLD. Imagine a post-government era. I have attempted to.
"Those who are ready to blame President George W. Bush for everything bad that has happened since he left office should at least acknowledge that he was a patriotic American president who did what he did for the good of the country -- an assumption that we can no longer safely make about the current occupant of the White House."
And they want us to be just like them. When I keep warning you about genocide....
'...[I]t was not clear where the money to pay for these “risk adjustments” would come from in the first place.' Or where our money to pay for this massive increase in mandatory-at-implied-gunpoint health insurance payments will come from.

"Given how much tyrants and hoplophobes hate and fear weapons in private hands, the rape of our privacy can -- and inevitably will -- be used against us." "...[P]olice are not supposed to be some superior class, exempt from laws that harm the rest of us."
This nation's Founders started SHOOTING PEOPLE over LESS.
Years ago I began reading the Day by Day webcomic, which is very much Our Kind. Donate to keep it coming.
Action in Mississippi, and the organizations supposedly on our side appear to be getting it wrong.
Action in Missouri. Because they can't stand the idea of anyone doing anything without permission.
"GLOBAL WARMING" IS THE HOAX OF THE CENTURY. And they want to ram their delusions down our throats at the point of a government gun.
"DemProgs and conservatives alike share the same concerns: they don’t want killers to have guns. It’s just that DemProgs haven’t quite figured out who the real killers are."
"How is that working out for you now, Elmer?"
"The [Presbyterian Church (USA)] is directing its people to run their lives contrary to God’s law, while trying to implement warmed over, washed up hippie ideology as a solution to what ails mankind." Or in other words, they hate their congregants and want them to die.

“Transparency and the rule of law will be the touchstones of this presidency.” - President Barack Obama, January 31, 2009
War has been declared against us.
Even an unstable freak in black robes can feel a cluebat once in a while. But the judge is definitely an alumni of the Clinton-Obama-Holder-Lerner School of Exculpation, claiming she didn't know the UNITED STATES NAVY SAILOR was THOUSANDS OF MILES AWAY SERVING HIS COUNTRY IN A NUCLEAR SUBMARINE.
Finally starting recording another Basic Firearms Tutorial, for the Winchester M1894. Kalashnikov will probably be next, since it's so simple I banged out a script last night - need dummy round$. FN-FAL is further down the list as I'm not yet familiar enough with the borrowed example.
“So if you wish to stay free, prepare to resist, defy, evade and smuggle. The Founders did.”
The next time some Fudd or country-club sporting-clays snob tells me I don't need "those man-killers", I just might smack him.
Dehumanizing an opponent is a precursor to genocide.
And that's not hyperbole.
Most "school shootings" are lies. But they still want to ram their discrimination down our throats at the point of a government gun.

HOAX OF THE CENTURY
STUDY TRAIN PREPARE
Col. Kratman, who should know, studies a soldier's load. My 3-Gun racing rig ain't even on the same planet.
...Someone oughta combine militia training with a 3-Gun match. Well, 2-Gun at least, leaving off the shotgun. Guerilla 2-Gun, hiking, camping, orienteering, and a shooting competition too, all with actual scores. Both single and team events and objectives. That's kind of what formal military training is supposed to be doing, yes? But this would teach guerilla tactics and nonstandard weapons.
And robot paintball adversaries....
"...[B]laming men in general and male gun owners in particular for her particular level of indignant Prozi dysfunction." "...[I]t appears Ann [Friedman of NYMag.com] is one of those who truly would rather see women raped and butchered like hogs than armed."
(Contrast....)
"In other words, these hunters don't want the NRA advocating on the behalf of any gun owners except hunters (and only those hunters who don't use semi-automatic firearms--which have been used for hunting for over a century). The rest of us are to be thrown under the bus...."
'This guy wants the government to go into combat against American citizens, very possibly igniting civil war, and has the audacity to claim that it's the "gun nuts" who "are terrorizing America."'
And Aktion T4 can happen here.
It's not paranoia if they really are recruiting the Einsatzgruppen.
"These are the filthy beasts who would control us."
It's not paranoia if the Internal Revenue Service really is engaged in an active and ongoing criminal conspiracy.
Your Tax Dollars At Work. F*** NASA. Get out of the way.
THE FOUNDERS WOULD BE SHOOTING BY NOW
This is supposed to be Lighter News but you know the domestic terrorists will just start writing their own "warrants". Never trust the thugs to follow their own rules.
Let's try it this way. 'Cause the old way isn't working.
In the July 2014 issue of American Rifleman is a feature article on the SMG reproduction of the FG42, which Ian McCollum has tested in competition, written by adventure novelist Stephen Hunter, several of whose books I have read. So much else to read I can't keep up, but if I recall correctly, Pale Horse Coming had thinly-veiled characterizations of Audie Murphy, Ed McGivern, Bill Jordan, Jack O'Connor, and others I didn't recognize.
Speaking of authors- David Weber... [shakes head] never uses ten words where thirty will do. I'm considering dropping the Safehold series, for the clutter (and the self-indulgent literary reenactments of various historical battles on sea and land, down to naming one commander's horse Traveler), as I've already done with his War Gods series. No one dares edit the man anymore and I'm disinclined to choke down 600-odd pages of unnecessarily-linguistically-shifted spelling and sixty-five pages of dramatis personae being referred to by a title of nobility in one sentence and a given name in the next. -Yeah screw it, it's too much work. Beginning 1636: Commander Cantrell in the West Indies.
Corruption at BATFE. Like there was any other kind.
Aktion T4. It can happen here.
Connect the dots:
How bad is the Veterans Administration? Among many others: 'At least one VA doctor sexually abused female patents. A male neurologist gave five women “breast examinations.” It took the VA two years to fire the man, who is now a registered sex offender.' Anybody wanna bet he got a performance bonus too?
It's not paranoia if they really are openly calling for our extermination.
CONNECT THE F***ING DOTS.
YES. IT IS. LIKE THIS.
For further example, "The front page of Tuesday’s New York Times made no mention of the congressional hearings on the missing Lois Lerner emails and putative computer crash; the networks were a virtual silence of the not-so-lambs. (Remember how they obsessed on the Christie/GW Bridge contretemps as if it were the beginning of nuclear war?)"
The next time someone uses the word "Islamophobia" in my presence I just might nail them into a crate and ship them to Saudi Arabia Nigeria Pakistan Iraq Detroit Syria Kenya Sudan "Palestine" Sweden Australia England.
FABBERS FASTER PLEASE
What kind of people don't want us able to defend ourselves? THE KIND WHO WANT TO HURT US.
Speaking of: Remember that line in the first Death Wish film, where the old cop - the kind that's been driven to extinction now - wondered if his political bosses wanted the mugging rate to go back up?
"And they want mental testing for us?".
“The White House would pressure her to change or drop her reporting, and when that didn’t work, they worked her bosses instead.”
Because there really is a concerted and deliberate effort to misinform everyone about everything.
IT WILL ALL COME CRASHING DOWN but not soon enough.
What "law" would you not enforce? What order would you not obey? What definition of "bad people" would you not accept?
Prohibition FAIL
I'm reminded of something Heston's character said in the first Planet of the Apes film: "If this is the best they've got around here, in six months we'll be running this planet." Of course that's not the best they've got- but they can't have no idea what they're up against. Remember, that was with a half-century-old doubly-surplussed rifle, without optical sights. And I ain't even all that good.
Reportedly there was a server migration. Everything seems back to normal now.
Butbutbut the conserrrrvatives will saaaaave us "How many stabs in the back must we endure?"
Blood Libel o' the Day. Also Massive Vote Fraud.
BURN THE SCHOOLS
And they call us "nuts".
When I see a cop I see a sadistic monster. What if we treated them the way they've been treating us?
That day is coming.
Modest Proposal o' the Day. Where do I sign up?

Handgun-only IPSC(-style) at Wolverton. Even a perpetually-insolvent amateur like me fires more rounds in a weekend than most taxtheft-funded thugs do in a year.
First of 13 despite Encore l'Biblical Deluge and shoveling gravel on the slick spots in Stage Three so people wouldn't break a hip.
Yeah I don't suck with a pistol. Though I'm still getting sideways bullets. My 1911's rifling is very shallow and I think it's time to simply replace the barrel. $igh.
Michael G. sends the Astute Observation o' the Day: "No society can long thrive by making its creators and innovators subservient to its pimps and thieves." Or as I've been saying for some time, there are more takers than makers. "It is time to start calling this what it is and treating it as what it is: corruption."
Speaking of: A concerted and deliberate effort.
"...[T]here are people who find other peoples’ self-reliance very threatening." And those violence-prone bigots are why we, the decent, normal, sane people, own guns.
There are people in the world who really believe Cain killed Abel with an AR15 the rock made him do it, and David's slingshot was registered with the local authorities.
Remember, peasant, work within the system. If you believe if freedom you need to look past the stereotypes and conditioned responses and see what is wrong. If they can do these things to someone your prejudices think "deserves" it- think about who thinks the same of you. "...[T]his sort of thing is precisely what the founding fathers intended to prevent."
The next time someone uses the word "Islamophobia" in my presence I just might nail them into a crate and ship them to Saudi Arabia Nigeria Pakistan Iraq Detroit Syria Kenya Sudan "Palestine" Sweden Australia England Jordan.

THREEEEEE GUUUUUNNNNNN
Pistol cleaned and lubed; Saint John inspected and lubed; Precious... well a couple more drops CLP on the bolt carrier just in case but she hasn't given me any mechanical trouble yet. FOUR cameras, batteries charged, spares packed, memory cards from yesterday dumped to hard drive. No ShotgunCam!!! yet but something like this should do ($omeday); I've already found Picatinny sections I can clamp onto the magazine tube.
...Didn't win that one. Precious worked perfectly, no concerns there, except she does need a better trigger - the ALG mil-spec is affordable, and a vast improvement over what usually comes with the Lower Parts Kit, but is still kinda heavy and has a very clunky reset. My 1911 (which had a couple minor issues today and yesterday) has a good trigger (by which, of course, I mean the hammer-and-sear arrangement with which the actual trigger has less to do). (No, it's not a Series 80. It's a Cheap Philippine Clonetm.) Saint John ran well enough, but misfed the first round from the magazine all three times he was used today, and the front sight fell off again after the first shot, which wasn't even a slug this time.
And people kept standing in front of my cameras! >:-[
And then I got out of bed and went back to work.

Yyyyyyeah I don't read Stephen King anymore either. If you want a literary criticism instead of a political one, it's formulaic gratuitous splatter for its own sake, to say nothing of the stereotyping.
It's not paranoia if they really are litmus-testing your employment.
Never trust a doctor....
Speaking of mental illness, just the other day I supposed that some people really believe the rock made Cain kill Abel and I was right, again: "Really? The mere presence of a firearm spontaneously generates criminal sociopathy?"
Not unrelated: We've tried it their way and it doesn't work... for the stated goal. It really is as though it were on purpose.
And that's not even counting the stuff that just happens.
NOPE
